RelTherma Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Looks like someone has made some progress... http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16691/?
graymare Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 I saw that just now, and came over here - you beat me to it! Wish I had the tools, knowledge and time to put it to use, but hope others do!
OldTimer91 Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 From what I understand, Skyrim is moving to the FO4 - 64bit engine in October. If this is indeed true, then this would also apply to Skyrim modders who already have libraries of animation to work with. Suggest you might consider posting this with a title that reflects what's in the post over in the Skyrim forums as well.

If they are on the same engine, That means we can put animations from one game to another with much if any difficulty. Right?

If they are on the same engine, That means we can put animations from one game to another with much if any difficulty. Right? Doubt it is the same exact engine. Also the key problem isn't the animations and creations (even though that is complex as all shit) it is getting the game to accept the new animations that are being added. Likely Skyrim 2016 will be just different enough that the tools we have for Fallout 4 will have to be adapted to it. Finally we don't really have a full easy to use animation additon tool set (of the level of FNIS of Skyrim) yet for Fallout 4. However one can hope that they are the exact engine, nifs, etc then it would be a much easier step from Fallout 4 to Skyrim 2016 for modding. Even the CK should be able to be used and not needed to be developed for it. Slight different subject. I would be nice if they created a single engine.. .and then recreated / ported their assets going all the way back to Oblivion (with some new textures) Then we can develop for the new engine and port and reused the info we gained from one to all the others.
Guest Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 There are TWO pinned thread for this stuff. And actually the author of this rig, is an actual active participant of both threads.
