Guest Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Hello everyone so ever since FO4 has released I have not played the game past meeting Piper. I have decided to mod and wait for mods first before fully playing the game. So for the puposes of this thread PLEASE avoid major spoilers. Now in my exploring of Fallout 4 I have noticed that there are many gunner and raider camps. I was hoping to add NPCs that will act as bounty targets or rescue targets like captives of super mutants needing rescue. It would really help if you folks can tell me the names of special areas where raiders, gunners and super mutants have gathered and can be used. Of course I am trying to avoid locations that are quest related or would later be destroyed or emptied because of global quest effect. So can anyone help me with this? Also just reminder please minimize spoiling anything too major... Thanks! TDLR: i need the names of some interesting locations that dont have any major quests associated with them and they have raiders/supermutants in them to use for quests.
Guest Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Sigh... As they say. If you want something done you have to do it yourself. Fine then.
ralfetas Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 I think no one reply until now because all that is already in the game, and there is mods that disable this quests because they are just, too much.
Guest Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 I dont quite understand what you are trying to say. All I want to do is to put an NPC in these raider camps so the player has an objective when attacking raider and gunner camps. To this properly I have to avoid places where major quest action is happening. For example I heard about Gunners disappearing when you finish the minutemen questline. So I will avoid using their areas if this is true. I have not seen a single BOS settlment in the game yet and I assume they are hidden away until a certain event so I cant really use them either. This is what I need. Just names. Which raider camps could be used by modders to avoid conflicting issues.
Mickster Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 1. Pick a location 2. CTR+F and type it in on this page: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_4_quests 3. If you get a hit go to 1. 4. If not use that location.
Guest Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 1. Pick a location 2. CTR+F and type it in on this page: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_4_quests 3. If you get a hit go to 1. 4. If not use that location. Yea that could be an option but I would pretty much spoil the entire game for myself just trying to find the locations. Trust me I tried it before.Besides its not just the main questline either. Any quest could cause the same issue.
ralfetas Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Grine... what i am saying is that we already have this missions... Preston, always have a mission "a settlements needs our help", and them you go talk to the settlers and is always the same, someone got kidnaped, a pack of ghoul is nearby and there is another that is to just kill raiders, but most of the time is someone got kidnaped, you go there you will see your settler tied and you have to rescue him, this happen in a lot of places. For bounty, in diamond city you have the posters, just get one and go hunt... Really, this missions is already in the game, and there is even mod that disable this mission because they are too much, all the time...

Trust me I tried it before.Besides its not just the main questline either. Any quest could cause the same issue. That page contains side quest locations as well. How is it spoiling the game for yourself when you just search the location name on that page with the page search function that your browser includes? You don't need to actually read anything on the page so nothing is spoiled, you just check to see if you get any matches for the text you introduced. For example I can just use CTRL+F on this page on LL and search for the phrase "klaatu barada nikto" and Firefox will tell me how many matches it found on the page (at least 1 now) at the bottom of the browser window. I don't have to read anything on the actual page. Also you should really play the game first, that way you notice places where you can integrate your work and you also see potential issues. For example you can integrate it in the already existing bounty and rescue system, which you would have noticed had you played the game.
