Nuking my install from orbit - again! Looking for known 'problem mods' that might have existed in my previous Load Order.

This is the third time I've pruned the list in the past couple of months, and the last time saw a lot of my old favorites vanish on the recommendation of some of the mod guides I was able to find out there. If anyone can help with finding problematic mods out of what's left over - it would be greatly appreciated!

 

Edit: Currently on the chopping block: KNNHeadtracking, World's Dawn (I really don't want to remove this one, but it's one of the heaviest ones still left), Disparity (another one I really don't want to part with), Dual Sheath Redux, and probably all of the Werewolf overhauls.

What is the mod manager you use for managing your mods... It might make a difference sometimes the way you install the mods or some managers might not work quite right installing the mod.

I use MO for Skyrim and can see the conflicts at a glance. If you do use MO as well try filtering the conflicts (remove those mods that aren't having conflicts) and  then checking the mods for the assets or locations that are having problems and see if there are any conflicts. To test just make a new profile.

 

For NMM you can make a new profile backup your saves (to be sure you don't do something terrible ) and try reinstalling suspected conflicts. Not sure if there is a way to view the conflicts inside of MO folders. Might be a record there in an xml file if so that could give you some ideas. (I use it for Fallout 4. )

With that many mods? MO, all the way. I love NMM for what it does, but MO is just far more useful for convoluted load orders like mine tend to be. 

 

The conflicts that show up are the ones I put there (IE: using textures from one skin mod and speculars from another); unless I missed some obvious ones. I'll look over it again! Which ones did you spot?

I don't know most of the mods that are used for Skyrim. I am a light user of mods for Skyrim for the most part. So I can't really help there.

 

With MO however I believe (it has been awhile.. lol) you can filter your list to only show the conflicted mods. That ought to help you see all of them. Then just go through one at a time. Helps if you know the conflict or can repeat it. This info can possibly help some here to point out the mod in question (based on what is changed or altered) or at least give you a better grasp on the possible conflict (specific script, etc)

 

Another possible problem might be that many mods. Sometimes depending on your rig and mods selected you run into your own personal plugin limit.
