BlaineSensei Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 so first MO just throws in errors because it cant delete my fnis temp logs..... then it makes overwrite folders for the main menu randomizer which i removed from MO and installed through NMM and whenever i install a new mod it requires me to open mo and enable the esp's there and Now the game breaker i have my esp's enabled i load my save it says , missing esps (all of em) update.esm dawnguard.esm dragonborn.esm heathfire.esm skyrim optimization project.esp skyrim optimization project.esp etc... the only good thing , skyrim reaches main menu incredibly fast like in a min which is not incredibly useful to me..
BlaineSensei Posted June 27, 2016 Author Posted June 27, 2016 Pick one MO or NMM and stick with it. best part, uninstalling MO doesnt let me enable mods (i can only enable them in MO now) honestly , i now understand why fore hates MO
TnTTnT Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 I don't think Fore dislike MO for this reason. Use only one mod manager to install and enable mods, install mod in one and try to enable in one will not lead any good to you.

PNo4 Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Do not use NMM and MO at the same time, they do things differently and therefor can not "talk with each other". NMM (at least when I used it) installed all mods directly to the Skyrim Data folders. MO installs all mods into a virtual data folder that keeps the Skyrim Data folders clean. Gophers guides for MO should be your first step to get MO running as it should be running and be used (multiple guides for this the one below is the first one).
Tefajo Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 If MO is behaving like that is either because you got yourself into a mess by using to managers at the same time or you did a mistake by installing mod organizer into the same folder than skyrim or you placed it in a protected write folder you MO cant overwrite files and it has to use its "overwrite" folder everytime there is a change In the gopher's video series there is a particular video (the 7th i think) about how to properly use NMM and MO, while its possible it is strongly not recommended
Langmans Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 There's only one error in MO where you can't uninstall a mod because files are in use (dll files in particular). Even when you pkill TESV.exe, it's still in use If found MO to be invaluable as it becomes impossible to track what file belongs to what mod when uninstalling any mod in NMM. If you want to test out texture mods for example. If you prefer a textbased manual as opposed to a video, use the following link: http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer_Advanced#Migrating_from_NMM
