Custom Race and SAM Body Replacer. Need Help!

Hello there! smile.gif

I need some help and I'm not that experienced in Skyrim modding... I have this problem with Snow Elf Race - The True Falmer mod and SAM body replacer... At first when I installed SAM, the body color was different from the head color on my Snow Elf... The head color remained white, while body color was a bit darker... I tried removing textures from Snow Elf Race - The True Falmer mod and the problem was gone, no more skin color mismatch, but instead the skin was is darker than it's supposed to be (the whole body was the color of a body before removing texture files) I'm going mad here... I want to start my Snow Elf Paladin play trough but I can't (>_<)

I contacted Snow Elf Race - The True Falmer mod creator, but he has no clue on how to fix the issue and said to contact the body mod creators instead... I tried contacting guys on the site that SAM mod is but they haven't been of much help either... So I'm hoping you guys could help me... I literally don't know what to do anymore...

Did you export your characters head/textures from ck? That usually forces your characters data to be read by the game preventing that bug. However if the problem persists i would suggest taking the asset thatre compatible with sam and use them in combo with sams face textures and make a standalone follower or player preset based off an existing vanilla race "using the custom hair/headmesh you created with ece or racemenu " dont mess with the body stuff just use vanilla that way when you install sam itll read your elf as a vanilla race switching the bod while maintaining the head details.Ive tested this personally with sos so it should in theory work with sam them same way .

This should also prevent any mismatch textures sense with this method you pre packed the face with compatible ones

You see, the mismatch is not the thing that I'm worried about... As I said before, I've fixed the mismatch by removing few body textures from Snow Elf Race mod folder and setting mod to use default body (which is SAM at the moment) using TES5Edit. THE REAL problem that I have now is that while it uses SAM body, the face and body textures are not as white as they should be... They are not Snow Elf kind of while, they look like normal human textures set to white color (which is still darker than Snow Elf white) So any advice on fixing that?

P.S. I'm a noob when it comes to Creation Kit xD

The way I see it, I would need to make a patch using CK or something... But I need some guidance because as I said, I'm noob when it comes to CK.

Here is a picture of my problem for you guys to better understand what I'm talking about.

On the left: how my character looked like before removing few textures from the mod. On the right: After.

The problem is, is that I want the whole body texture to be the same color like his head on the left...

Yeah this issue is present even without that mod, on snow elf NPCs like gelebor. Probably it requires a compatibility patch and a set of textures that work with the SAM skin system.

Nope, no idea. Vectorplexus recently said on his site that he wanted to start modding skyrim again, we can only hope he'll do something about it himself.

Unless you open the body texture up in gimp sam face and bod and desaturate the skins color may work though id isolate the nipples and color them accordingly to so you can achieve the albino look you need for your snow elf.
