[WIP] - The Iron Lich || Some help required

Sooo, i recently came across that picture

 

 

And i'd like to know if there's a madman out there with crazy modeling skills who wants to create this as armor for skyrim.

oh and could you search some more pics of it. from the side, from behind and some close pictures from the details. Would be easier for me to get a good 3d view

Appears this is some kind of Warhammer figure (or something similar from a tabletop game) fortunately i found one which shows the back.

 

 

 

 

Getting sideviews is a bit harder than i thought, most pictures show the figure from the front >.<

 

Edit: Found 3 more, pretty good ones imo.

I have not played a while but I do believe that is Lich Lord Asphexius (not sure if i spelled that correct). I to would love that for my evil necromancer as i think most people would need new undies seeing that walk...or rather float at them

That guy is from Warhammer 40k. Hes part of the Necron Army. ^^

Googled a bit, appears this gentleman is from a tabletop game named Warmachines.

Not to be impatient or something, but judging from the shots you posted on the nexus of your work, i daresay you have a lot of skill

Alright, Venarge did some awesome work with the mesh creating that mother:

 

 

 

So i'm the one who's texturing it and i have some problems with that, i unwrapped the mesh, but i can't decipher a damn thing on the texture template. Which looks like this.

 

 

 

 

We are well aware that this mesh is somewhat complex, actually quite nuts of us to pull that off as first armor ever.

 

Could someone who's knowledgeable with unwrapping perhaps tell me if that is correct for a texture template? I've the feeling i need to cut it differently.. and most likely more than just once.

For whatever help it is worth that Iron Lich is from the game Warmachine by Privateer Press. A steampunk/fantasy table top wargame and RPG.

 

Do a google image search for " Asphyxious " since the art in question is of that named character.

well the UV is pretty messed up, maybe if you are using max you can use the plugin Unwrella..or do a simple uvw unwrap..or if you have access to either mudbox or zbrush you can try texturing in there as is way more intuitive and you dont need to have a (very) clean map.......and zbrush has an automatic uv function so there is that

Well for whatever reason, venarge seems to ignore me.

 

Since i'm no good with making armor, would somebody else want to pick it up?

I have the blend file but i'm unable to do anything with it. Turns out texturing is a bit too far away for my er.. skills.
