ArieWasTaken Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Below is an attached photo of my current issue. I'm not sure if this really requires a papyrus log, or load order, since this seems graphics related. But, for clarity's sake, the last things I recall doing that caused this, was adding new animations to FNIS PCEA II (Castanistic idles). Any and all help would be appreciated, and if I have to post a load order or papyrus log, I will. Thanks!
darkconsole Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 that generally means you're running out of vram. i experienced it when i had too many hd textures including hd normals and hd specular maps.
ArieWasTaken Posted June 23, 2016 Author Posted June 23, 2016 Wow, quick response! And ow. ._. Really? Should I allocate more, or just remove some of the HD textures?
Guest Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Depends on how much VRam you have. But probably if you have the problem you are just using more than available.
ArieWasTaken Posted June 23, 2016 Author Posted June 23, 2016 Actually! I checked ENBlocal, and I tried raising ReservedMemorySizeMb from 768 to 896. That seemed to fix it. EDIT: Nevermind. I was using too much VRAM. The weird part was that it wasn't Skyrim, but google chrome that caused it. When I closed Chrome, my skin texture went back to normal. I'm kinda upset about that. <.< Any way I can fix this, or will I just have to play Skyrim without Chrome up?
Tefajo Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 ReservedMemorySizeMb should be as low as you can. 128, 256 never more than that Please, give us details about your system and paste the "memory section" of your enblocal.ini settings
ArieWasTaken Posted June 23, 2016 Author Posted June 23, 2016 Processor Intel® Core i7-4700HQ CPU @ 2.40GHz Video Card Intel® HD Graphics 4600 Video Card #2 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M (4064 mb) RAM 8.0 GB Operating System Microsoft Windows 10 (build 10586), 64-bit [MEMORY] ExpandSystemMemoryX64=false ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true DisableDriverMemoryManager=false DisablePreloadToVRAM=false EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=true ReservedMemorySizeMb=768 VideoMemorySizeMb=3714 EnableCompression=true AutodetectVideoMemorySize=false Already, I can see where I might have messed up. <.<
Tefajo Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 This one: Video Card Intel® HD Graphics 4600 (i'd guess its an onboard video card) you should disable and never use. If your Geforce Graphic Card has 4gb vram i am pretty sure there is no way you are running out of video memory. In my humild opinion your glitch is either - The game is using the wrong graphic card (using the onboard one instead of the Gforce) - ENB preset effect - A glitchy Skin texture or a skin texture that is not for the body type you use (or similar) Try to: - Disable the onboard graphic card and / or make sure the game runs on the Geforce - Change ENB preset just momentarely to disregard it as the culprit - Change skin texture just momentarely to disregard it as the culprit
RW311 Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 That is very likely a gpu memory bus issue, 128bit bus can and will act as a bottleneck with high resolution textures. You can try o/c the memory bus but if you are using a lot of 4k or higher texture sets your asking to much from that gpu.
ArieWasTaken Posted June 24, 2016 Author Posted June 24, 2016 Okay, so! I tried disabling the onboard graphics card, and I wound up immediately reenabling it, because some things were acting REALLY weird. (Discord couldn't seem to calm down, parts of it were flashing black constantly. o_o;) But! When I Went to change my ENB preset (I use skylight) I was actually surprised. I went from Skylight to Rudy ENB, and lo and behold, my ENB preset seemed to be the issue. Which is odd. I always thought Skylight was lower impact than Rudy. Disabling the ENB preset altogether fixed the issue as well. Then out of curiosity, I tried disabling Fair Skin complexion for CBBE entirely, with Skylight, and the problem reared its ugly head again. Tried Rudy with it disable, problem begone. So, I think I know what the culprit is now. Thanks again for the help everyone! This was the last issue I had on Skyrim (for now) so hopefully I can actually start playing the game.
