...what.

texture resolution wont change when you go from 1080pee, 1440piss, and 4k.

they will still be 2k or 4k depending on what mods you choose to download.

also, how are you building a computer? like wow are you making it from scratch? or are you just combining the parts? you know, like legos.

Just use any 4k textures. I can do it with smim/parallax/seasons (no dof) at 40fps using a 390. Verdant with moderate settings brings me down to 35 fps though. You can get more by turning off all ss/aa in the enb.

Yay, the resolution in game is not too much important for mod choyce, but if you wanna have in mind to play skyrim at max 1440p is better dont download texture over 1k/2k limit.

I tried plying on 4K and the biggest problem are the loading screens.

I found solutions for all other problems (memory management, FPS troubles) when running high res texture mods but the loading screens were taking between 1 and 2 minutes each (on SSD) .

You'll need to find a balance between quality and performance. One simple rule to follow when selecting texture mods is to use high quality on bigger objects. There is no real point in installing hi-res weapons, armors, clutter and such. But it is worth for rocks, snow, houses and so on.

The "drama" comes from the fact that Skyrim looks really amazing on 4K with cool retextures and if you need to downscale your setup you don't really want to let any of the retextures go. It is a huge internal fight trying to find the balance between the amazingly looking in-game world and the performance.
