Bardic Character Playthrough

My next playthrough will feature a Battle-Bard type character. I'd like her to be about Light Armour, Dualwielding, Sneaking, Speechcraft, Restoration, Alteration and Illusion. The two main "shticks" would be crowdcontrol through Illusion and bolstering allies through persistent auras or songs.

 

Now, two issues:

1) CC in skyrim is a joke, apart from Alterations high lvl Paralyse. Fear isn't AoE, for example.

2) NPCs/partymembers scale with difficulty. Either the game is wimpy, or the game is hard and NPCs are unbeatable.

 

So, my question: which mods do you recommend to support this playstyle? Are there spellmods that will help? Mods that make partymembers stop scaling? Ways for a Bard to make money? Alternative perksystems that will help out?

I will be using Live Another Life. Which start do you feel is best suited to a Bard?

For live another life i think the house in one of the holds start is a good one, a bard has to start somewhere right?

Forgotten Magic mod has a spell (Discord) that can turn your enemies against each other, lower their stamina (useless), lower their magica, make them stumble and it can have a really big area of effect. The more you use them the more powerful they'll get. On maximum level it will have all of the effects, so it's really useful for crowd control without being ridiculously OP.

 

SkyTweak to balance your overall difficulty. Global weapon damage, damage modifiers for every difficulty level, magic scaling, sneak effectiveness, leveling rate and tons of other things. You can change everything to your liking, so even your basic Courage spell can give tons of health if your illusion skill is really high.
