CBBE body not working

Recommended Posts

Hello, I recently had an error with NMM and had to reinstall all of my mods, and they all installed fine, except for one. CBBE. It's installed and everything, then I went into the game, but now my character has the default vanilla body with bra and underwear. Is there any way to fix this? Load order is here:

Never had that happen, so all I can do is suggest checking if the CBBE-related files are actually in your meshes and textures directories in the Data folder.

When you reinstalled via NMM, did you actually fully uninstall the mods (so that they get greyed out), or just disable (green check turns into red circle) and re-enable?

Sometimes disabling and reenabling has caused issues for me, so I always make sure to fully uninstall before reactivating a mod.

Yes, the mods were definitely uninstalled, all of them were greyed out.

Greyed out doesn't necessarily mean uninstalled behind the scenes in the new NMM. It stores data on what your choices were, etc.

Try right-clicking it -> Delete mod permanently and uninstall.

Also make sure you have the .ini tweaks.

You're using Unique Player, did you copy the meshes and textures to the right folder for it?

I have the ini tweaks. I tried completely deleting the mod and reinstalling it, that didn't work.

Yeah, they are in the right folder.

Hmm. If the meshes are in the right place and you have your ini ready for mods, I'm not sure what's keeping it from working.

Do other NPCs have the CBBE body and textures? If they have the body/tex, then it's a unique player wonkiness. If no one has it, then make sure NMM didn't eat something on the install (manually reinstall the body/texture)

Also, you have all of the Suitdreams esps checked, you only need 1, they'll overwrite each other.

Well, I don't know what the problem was with the mod, but Unique Player was the problem. Are there any other similar mods that you would recommend instead?

I do not. I use unique player, but only for body textures. I just copied my edited CBBE mesh into data/meshes/actors/character/playercharacterassets and my player had cbbe. Maybe try a fresh install, and double check that the folder structure is set up right. Also, maybe try different places in your load order. It shouldn't matter, but one thing i've learned since morrowind is that these games can be a right picky pain in the ass some times. I normally have the CBBE esp at the top of my load order and unique player under.
