calranthe Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 (moderators please do not lock or delete this before reading) I followed the extended STEPS system got myself a nice stable system, including a steps mod (no idea of the name looking for it now) that makes it possible to kill or pick pocket children (****this is not a discussion about whether or not that is a good thing, for immersion sakes I say it is). The problem is while installing certain mods (cursed loot) it disabled itself giving a message something like "children flags have been changed disabling cursed loot. I understand the system is in place to keep it all legal How can I fix this without removing a mod as in is it possible to get the effect I want non essential children and ability to pick pocket without there being a danger of anything adult happening? I know usually any thread mentioning this gets locked but this is not a discussion its is me a gamer and supporter of LL asking a technical support question (In theory I could once I find its name just delete the mod but I use the STEPS compilation patch at the end to patch up everything and do all the compliance stuff, if I remove one of the mods I am concerned things will go a little weird) Update 1:it is called none essential children and it is part of the core steps install Update 2:Tried to remove non essential it is called as a Master to Better quest objectives.
Guest Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 The problem is the removal of the "isChild" flag on the races. And this will block a bunch of adult mods. But technically it is enough to set as "not protected" and "not essential" the NPCs with child race to be able to "kill" them. Without need to alter the child races.
