Missing UI

[Sural Argonus]

OK.  I *JUST* reinstalled Skyrim.  Got all my mods reinstalled.  Left some out that I didn't want to mess with anymore.  

Added a couple I had forgotten about...After running LOOT and FNIS I finally get to the point I can get into game.  What to I see when I get in?  No UI.  The FORK?

Short of uninstalling and reinstalling yet again...is there anything else I can do, or is it one of these mods?  I am going to start disabling some mods to see if the UI comes back, but I don't know what else to do.  I am sick of reinstalling right now, tbh.

For some reason after restarting my computer and checking my mods yet again...It seems that several mods actually HAD NOT installed properly.  They had only installed about halfway, but reported that they installed properly.  Looks like it was an NMM UI glitch.  It was 4 Weapon Mods.  I managed to get them uninstalled and reinstalled and now I have my UI back.  *eyeroll*  Let's see how things progress this time.

You wouldnt have these problems if you do, since you could see all possible conflicts even before launching the game

Last time I used it...I fought with it for about a week almost a week and a half.  It kept corrupting installs.  I couldn't figure out how to do anything in it.  Most of the time I have a problem with NMM...It's something I caused anyway.

I can only say that all those problems (corrupting installs) had to be cause by something else

Sural we have talked before about MO.

I hate MO it is plain ugly and hard to learn. But when you learn it, it is one good send modtool.

So do as I did go from NMM to MO. Trust me you will benefit from it.

Truth be told, NMM does most of the same things MO does now from what I hear from the MO pushers anyway.

It has the ability to call programs from within the manager:  It still has BOSS (tho outdated, guess it's for the older games) LOOT, WryeBash, FNIS, Bodyslide, TES5Edit, (Probably the Fallout 4 version, I am not in the Fallout version of NMM right now) Patchimus Maximus, Dual Sheath Redux.

 

It also has a Loot Sorting tool, which actually does about as good a sorting as Loot, just doesn't have all the features as LOOT. 

You can have multiple profiles setup for different mod configurations for different playthrus now.

 

It doesn't actually have any superfluous features that take extra time to figure out tho.  Unless you screw something up yourself, it generally works out of the box.  If a mod is packaged properly by the mod author, it works.  SOMETIMES, it does goof up, but more often than not it is fixable by a reinstall.  The program has people actively working on it, and the team is much better then it was in the past.  

Seriously the only problems I have had with NMM...Are ones I've actually caused myself.  like when I forgot to remove it's config file after reformatting.  It confused itself and tried to install mods in the wrong place.

Mod Organizer to me is like Linux.  It is great for some people, but not for me.
