Fienyx Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 I'm trying to merge Qarl's Harvest and More Harvestable Fruit, but Gecko throws an error. More Harvestable Fruit is causing the error because it add an editor id to a sub block in tamriel worldspace. Why woul adding an editor id make it unmergable? The error says MoreHarvestableFruit.esp changed merged master record from to wayshrinetiberseptim03. I loaded the mod in Tes4Edit, it's masters are QarlsHarvest.esm and QarlsHarvest.esp (<--- removed master before merge attempt, no issues) but neither master touches any worldspace. I then loaded all mods, and this one is the only one that wants to give it an editor id. This has me stumped, as I have merged many mods, but have never run into this before. EDIT: I think I know what the issue was. There were a lot of worldspace edits like that, which I think came from other mods originally. Several worldspace editor ids changed to Wayshrine"one of the 9 divines"03. Some were changed to "some city ie: Chorrol"OBCsomething or other. Some tamriel worldspaces even had dungeon music added. I removed all these odd edits, and they merged no problems.
varenne Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Yeah, I've had similar discoveries over the years, with editor IDs being altered by this or that MOD. Luckily it is not too common. I tend to go with the one that was the originating one, but not always. Sometimes the newer ID is better (more logical) so I go back and alter it to the newer one, especially if I never plan on releasing my rendition of the MOD rework and/or merge. TES4Gecko is a very powerful and useful too, but sometimes you have to do combo work with TES4Edit, WB, CS/E and then Gecko. When wanting to do a merge, or considering it, I like to use WB's export Editor IDs (CSV file) to review them, in combination with reviews of conflict reports from TES4Edit and sometimes OBMM. I can then edit the EIDs via the csv file and import them back in via WB, prior to the final merge.
Fienyx Posted June 3, 2016 Author Posted June 3, 2016 Once I found out what the issue was, it was easy to find and remove them all. Qarls harvest does so much more than I thought. Here I was thinking it just added some trees, but it also adds meat to dogs and horses, and lets you feed horses. Add that with the more harvest, and any needs mods (BPN is the best imo), plus any mods that let you cook and use cobl, should work rather nicely. I have intentions of making an add-on for LBGW that lets you feed and water your dogs, and play fetch. There's a pet dog mod that has these features, and I'm hoping to be able to add the ai to the dog when the bitchbone gets added to the player. Add the throw bone and food and water dishes to Rena's merchant chest for LBGW. So being able to feed horses is a nice touch to that plan. Can't wait to throw the bone with throwing in CombatOmega.
