cleavagesweat Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 hey guys - anyone know about using 2560x1080 resolution? the menus are cut off on top and bottom. so if i open the inventory menu i can't see the top row that shows categories. is there a setting in skyrimprefs.ini that can fix this?
Skewered Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 The only thing I found that worked for me was the program Flawless Widescreen.
cleavagesweat Posted June 3, 2016 Author Posted June 3, 2016 The only thing I found that worked for me was the program Flawless Widescreen. i just DLed it. so i understand the problem we have is because of skyui. can you explain a little as to what flawless actually does?
Skewered Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 It seems to adjust the menu layouts for you. You'll see on the Skyrim page, that it specifically has an option to indicate if you are running SkyUI. FYI - It has to be running whenever you start up Skyrim. I was having the same problem when running 1440x3440 - top and bottom of menus cut off. When I run FW, I have no menu issues. There may be a way to do it without FW, but I dont' know what that would be. Maybe a lot of fiddling around with SkyUI. It seems like SkyUI used to have support for ultra-wide monitors, but discontinued it. I've been using FW for about a year now with no issues. There may be other options out there by now, but I found what works for me.
cleavagesweat Posted June 3, 2016 Author Posted June 3, 2016 i just installed it and I don't see Skyrim as a game supported by this app. I'm looking down the list of games and no skyrim? how did you get it to work for you?
Skewered Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 It would be listed as "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" This is from my PC, so yours would still be under "Available Plugins" I disable the FOV settings because I do some screenshots from the game and I like to be able to change it from the console (otherwise FW will override the console)
cleavagesweat Posted June 3, 2016 Author Posted June 3, 2016 Skewered - much thanks to you. Got it working and it makes all the difference in the world...
