Dark_Lord_ Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Modders have probably heard, or even experienced the infamous NavMesh bug. To make a long story short: The NavMesh bug causes Navmeshes loaded from .esp files to malfunction after a while of playing. This causes NPC's in custom made or modified vanilla cells to either behave strangely of even disappear. This bug has a higher chance of appearing in larger customized cells. Here is a video by GiskardUK that demonstrates what the bug does: [spoiler=video][video=youtube]www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlNBVOcuW3M The problem is, that this bug really hinders the creativity of Skyrim modders everywhere. 3 months ago, a Bethesda employee on the official forums told the community a fix would come. After this, they haven't uttered a single word concering the issue. What I would like to ask, is that everyone bothered by this bug shows their discontent about it on Bethesda's Twitter accounts. Maybe if we unite our voices, we will get a satisfying answer. Bethesda Devs Twitter Bethesda Blog Twitter #NavMeshBug Keyword Also, please spread the word about this bug and ask other people to voice their discontent of it, so that chance that the Skyrim modding community has a higher chance to reach its full potential.
Honesty Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 I'll just leave this here : ) http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1376243-new-beta-update-on-steam-168706/
bradleyh Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Yes, the Beta patch has fixed the navmesh bug, but it also introduces Horse Mounted Combat, which requires removing modded Animations to work. This means choosing between BBB and Horse Mounted Combat (so far).
Niobia Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 An easy choice. It's not really choose between bbb and horse combat. It's choose between bbb and game that isn't (too) broken
