Need help, please.

It needs help making pictures for a DIY mod from Nexus here: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1221/?

 

This one does not own Photoshop and has never needed to, help from someone better inclined with usage of it would be greatly appreciated.

If you want to customize your Pip-Boy with stickers, follow these steps. 

Before we begin editing the textures, you will need a plugin for Photoshop to edit the DDS texture files. Go to "https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-texture-tools-adobe-photoshop"

Download and install the plugin. If you had Photoshop open, close it and open it again. 

 

Now navigate to X:\......\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\textures\animobjects\pipboy

In this folder, you'll want to open PipBoy01_d.dds - A dialog box will pop up in Photoshop, just click OK. 

 

Now you can go ham editing the texture however you like. If you want, I've included two sticker sheets. Just open them up in Photoshop, use the Selection tool to select the sticker you want and copy past it over to your PipBoy texture file. To scale and rotate your sticker, press Ctrl+T or go to Edit>Transform and select a transformer (ie. scale, rotate, etc) 

In case your sticker is a SmartObject, right click the sticker's layer and Rasterize the layer.

 

Essentially you're done but in case you think you might come back to edit the texture again, make sure you save a PSD somewhere. It can be difficult to move stickers around after everything has been flattened.

 

When you are done editing your texture, "Save As"

Under Format, choose "D3D/DDS (*.dds;*.DDS)"

Another window will pop up with DDS save settings. Under the first pulldown menu, make sure you have "DXT5     ARGB   8bpp  |  interpolated alpha" selected. Leave the rest as default and click save.

 

Images it would like to see on pip if possible...

The instructions for it may be a little different, but you can use Gimp to edit textures.
