rydin Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 I have been asked to make some ideas for Skyrim when I was asking what animations are needed. I was wondering if there is a process to take the idles from in game ao I can onport them to 3DS so I can check the alignment so that I can make rhem smothly transition. I may not need this but I wanted to ask while it's still fresh.
Guest Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 You can check out Nightasy tutorial, especially the one when he imports a running anim to weightpaint a skirt from Daz3d.

bahow Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Yeah, it can be done. First you need to decompile Skyrim Animations bsa and get the HKX file you want to use. Then, you have to convert it to xml format. After that, import the meshes and skeleton into the animation software you are using. Then you can load the animation onto the bones. You should see a key for each frame. But if you want to apply ik solvers later on, it may get a bit tricky.
