I recently uninstalled RND just so I could have it work with Bloody Cannibalism.

Now it just crashes everytime I load the save file. I tried script cleaning and save cleaning etc

New Game + Load and to no avail it still crashes.

Edit Title: Found out that the RND I installed is 2.0 and not 1.9

Not that I'm an expert or anything but do you have any mod that needs RND as master (or a compatability patch for RND and another mod?). That's the only thing I can come up with, with the limited experience and knowledge I have :) (Just mentioning it, because that's one thing I tend to forget when I deactivate mods and stuff, to always check for dependencies etc. and then panic why Skyrim wont start ;))

I already did that before hand.

Although I double checked my merged patches and it turns out none them have the RND mods in them.

I seem to have no other mods that require RND, so I was just confused why it crashes.

did i understand that right?

starting a new game works fine, but loading one of your savegames prior to uninstalling rnd crashes?

Something's missing. Run TES5Edit and let it load all of your mods. It will stop and throw an error when it finds the Problem.

yup

TES5Edit loaded all the mods just fine.

Used LOOT to make sure, apparently it seems fine.

you could try this:

- reinstall RND .. just like your mod setup was before.

- load the savegame you want to "rescue"

- STOP RND via the MCM Menu

- maybe go to sleep ingame

- save the game

- Deinstall RND, DON'T install anything new yet

- try to load the new save

if everything works... save again

can't hurt to let PDTWrapper take a look at the savegame..

install the new mods and check if everything works

PDTWrapper is a helpfull Tool to cure many script related Problems with savegames. Not as easy as some other save-cleaners but i like it

oh... here's the link in case you want to give it a try: PDTWrapper - Savegame Script Scalpel

I was aware of PDTWrapper. I normally use it as a last resort as I once had an issue with it, sadly it still crashes.

I followed your instructions by finding a place to sleep vice versa.

However, it crashed. So I cleaned that save with the save tool and PDT wrapper.

Still crashes.

This is starting to leave some concerns when I actually do want to uninstall this mod.

i guess that's why they say: never change mods during play.....

but i did the same in the past.. most of the time i got everything running again.. but sometimes  it just won't work.

Well I guess, this is one of those mods that destroys everything if you uninstall it a middle of a playthrough.

I guess there's no solution to this problem, except start a new game without the mod or stay in my current playthrough with this mod.

Thx for the help. The advice was well received.

As it turns out.

The RND I Installed is RND 2.0.

So I'm assuming 2.0 is incredibly broken if its uninstalled mid play through.

I tested on a new game installed and uninstalled both Version 1.9 and 2.0 separately on 4 different saves.

Version 1.9 uninstalled without a hitch with no problems, with the RND activated and with the RND deactivated after being activated and waited for 7 days ingame.

Version 2.0 just crashes. Enough said. Version 2.0 will break your save game if you uninstalled midway and 1.9 wont.

Short Explanation:

Version 1.9 is safe to uninstall with no problem.

Version 2.0 is not safe to uninstall and breaks save games.

If there is a solution to this uninstalling 2.0 safely mid-game, be sure to post the solution. Regardless of how old this thread is. Because a solution is a solution and not a spam.
