Skyrim Optimizer Textures taken down by Nexus mods?

That was a really popular mod to optimize textures, and now its under moderator review? Anyone know why that is?

 

The mod hadn't been updated in a while, guy disappeared...but it worked great and was super easy to use. When I downloaded it (don't have it now sadly), it didn't have any viruses/spyware or anything with my AVG scanner. Didn't do anything bad to my system at all, and made Skyrim work a lot better.

 

Author didn't take it down cause that would say it was removed by the author, not the moderators

 

Anyone have any idea what happened to it? I was gonna download it again since I never thought to back it up...but found out...nope lol

That mod was incredibly outdated. An updated version under a new author can be found here.

Well, yeah it was pretty old. But it worked really well for me, and was very easy to use. The one above is pretty easy and I've used it before. But I always liked Optimizer Textures a lot more, and it always worked great for me.
