being new to sexlab for skyrim

as the title say i know next to nothing about modding but do wish to play some if not a lot of your mods there good looking for a start.

but i have no experience with mods from Skyrim our how to plug them in any help would be appreciated all so my Skyrim is on steam.

I would like to add that you should keep in mind that the majority of gameplay mods mentioned aren't totally required, they're more like recommendations. Besides that, the new guide (link at the top of the guide) is far away from being completely done and currently looks worse than the older one imo.

And keep in mind that modding Skyrim will take a huge amount of time. You will not get everything working in just a single day, maybe not even in a whole week. It requires patience. And never forget that this community is very helpful, so you can just ask for help whenever you need it.

Protip: Start off by installing Sexlab and all it's pre-requisites.

 

Protip: Make sure you got LOOT and FNIS.

 

Protip: If EVER you start getting crashes. Don't bother fixing anything. NUKE IT FROM ORBIT, then go in, and reinstall all your mods from SCRATCH, re-reading all pre-requisites and ensuring you have them all installed.

Pro-tip: Install Sexlab and all it's pre-requisites.

 

Pro-tip: Ensure you have FNIS and LOOT set up.

 

Pro tip: Use CBBE, it works with everything and is easy to set up. CBBE comes with a LOT of variations in the same folder. Pick ONE.

True Pro-Tip: Install and use Mod Organizer because then you do not have to "NUKE IT FROM ORBIT" and re-install everything because you won't be screwing up the main Skyrim Install and errors are easily handled. With MO you can fix or re-install any broken mod or mods because they are all kept in SEPARATE folders.

 

All actual pros these days use Mod Organizer, it is a lifesaver and a time saver.

 

True Pro-Tip: CBBE is one great choice, UUNP is another great choice. Both are available via Bodyslide and NEITHER of them "work with everything" as each of them requires clothing/armor conforming to their shapes.

1.) Are you implying I'm not a true pro, kid?

(The appropriate response to this is:

"No I'm not, I acknowledge that you're a true pro, and apologise for the aggressive wording in my post".)

 

2.) "NUKE IT FROM ORBIT" (while asking questions on forums) is THE best method when you're starting out; as chances are you did something wrong in the installation and have NO IDEA how to submit a proper bug report.

 

3.) An MO is common sense, everyone uses some mod manager or other unless they're badass or braindead.

Giving him the "true protip" to use a mod organizer is like telling a fish to swim.

 

4.) CBBE is THE single best choice. It's the most popular and most stable. Go ahead, argue with me on this, you better come prepared.
