Simple question about Textures/Meshes

I have been modding for a couple years now. Some ups and downs but I have learned a lot. I understand when clothing/armor skin textures and items turn purple or along those lines it means you're missing the appropriate textures. I have this figured out for the most part but my question is this:

 

When I use some armors or texture replacer they will be fine after loading up the game. After about an hour or so random things will start showing the "Purple texture" glitch while in other cases where things will turn completely black. Its random each time but I have noticed it can be almost anything at this point. What causes these texture errors to occur?

Most likely an overload of VRAM. 

This can be prevented by using lower resolution textures (I prefer capped 1k Parallax textures, as per my guide), or by optimizing NON-Parallax textures to 1k with a program like DDSopt, or Optimizer Textures (also known as Ordenador).

Wow I tried out Ordenador and the free space showed 942,902.934 free space when it was finished. I think that's in bytes but regardless that's a lot. Thanks again :)

The game appears to be running smoother so far, I'll definitely give you an update when I play a little more. I still have the issue with the sky though. Only during the day. When you look up there is a massive hexagonal shape of pure white. I tried sorting out mods and alternating sky textures but nothing has worked yet.

WOAH that's odd... Never seen anything like that at all. 

 

I'm afraid I'm gonna have to step back from this one. It's outside of my area of knowledge.

That's alright. It only appears in the late morning till late afternoon stages anyways. When the sun goes down in the evening and the nights are completely fine. It doesn't break the game unless I enjoyed staring at the sun. XD
