Leaf the Elf Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 This Oblivion mod. It looks so immersive. The question is... is it possible to convert the meshes for use in Skyrim? I'd like them to replace the vanilla armours, Padded could replace Leather (Hide could remain untouched), Fine Chainmail could replace Iron, Heavy Chainmail could replace Steel, Gothic could replace Steel Plate, and I don't know about the rest (could become independent standalone armours). The question is - legality. Apparently, the original meshes were from vanilla Oblivion, which makes converting such a mod to Skyrim illegal (as far as I know). And also the question of copyright - the creator of the mod would have to be contacted.S Some other interesting Oblivion resources (and mods) that could be converted to Skyrim for medieval mods: - http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/20877/? - http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/29815/
gregathit Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Please use the pinned requests threads. As to your question part, yes, you can convert anything you please from one game to another, ONLY for your personal game. Meaning you can't share it. And yes, there are tools to convert between games. Just check out gerra6's tools in the modders resources section. Cheers, Greg
