sexblivion/sexdarkness diary issue

I am still on my first playthrough using sexdarkness/sexblivion mod and have an weird issue with the diary and a few other non related scripted menus. The issue is that for the diary the text, other than numerical digits, is missing. So all the stat numbers are there and they update but there is no text lables for them. This issue appears only after the first savegame and extends to other text based menus like summon companion spells that have options. For the most part I can get by, but in some cases clicking on what should be the button to close a menu results in a loop of the menu and usually means loading a game to get out of it.

At first I thought it was an OBSE issue, but it occured to me that some of the affected scripts do not use OBSE.

Admittedly, my current install is a mess having recently discovered the wonderful world of adult mods and I am learning more about using Wryebash OBMM and BOSS to avoid mod problems, but this one is beyond me. So I'm hoping someone else has experienced this issue and can advise me as to what causes it or how to avoid it, PUHLEES!

Um, thanks for the welcome. Yeah I get that the mod is buggy and old school but right now it fits my male PC and being gang raped by marauders doesn't. Next iteration will be all about Claudia or Lovers w/PK but for now.. besides I really have no desire to adopt a female persona and that limits the experience within the latter two as far as I can tell.

I mean you should use lovers instead of sexlivion. i suppose that's why everyone is here for the first place.

 

None of us ever touches the outdated sexlivion ever since lovers mod was made in japan since the last 2 years.

While many of Lovers with PK plugins are designed for a female PC, their is still MUCH to do if you play a male PC (personally I rarely if ever play a female PC).

 

I do recommend that you finish your sex darkness play through and then upgrade to Lovers with PK. You will not be sorry if/when you do as Triratna has stated! The only thing that Sexlivion has that Lovers does not is threesomes. Other than that it is upgraded in everyway.

 

As to fixing your problem, I recommend that you disable as many plugins as you can and move sex darkness/sexlivion as far down in your load order as possible and make a clean save and try it from there.

Also, there are plenty of options and configurations that you can make or change with lovers to fit your playstyle (you can disable the ability for your pc to get raped for instance).

 

But I feel that we're getting away from the main point of this thread. While I don't have a solution for you, I recommend that nobody post unless they do. Although I don't know if you will get one. But that isn't up to me. At any rate, good luck on a search for an answer.

Well thank you all for your responses, and I agree with your advice certainly. I just wanted to experience Sexlivion as well. Now I have taken it about as far as it will go I am prepared to uncheck sexlivion and go with LL. On a side note I never experienced three way in Sexlivion and wasn't aware it was do-able. No matter. I just hope the problem is solved.
