How to make my own loading/menu screens

I'd like to have my own images but I don't know how to do that. Can you tell me how to?

One problem tough: the "loading" folder doesn't exist thus preventing me to change the images

Easiest way is to find a load screen mod, open it up and look at the file path and the name of files. What ever image you want to convert, make sure it's no bigger than your screens resolution or you won't be able to see the whole image.

 

You'll need GIMP, Photoshop or Paint.net tool. GIMP or Photoshop you'll need a dds plugin. I believe Paint.net already comes with .dds extension included. It's really that easy.
