Guest Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 I already tried to look for tools in the data but its not there
Yoda4sw Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 How did you install it, e.g. Did you add it through Mo, or install direct to data?

Guest endgameaddiction Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 Mod Organizer does not install mods or tools in your data folder. It's inside your mods folder. If you were to add it to the configuration menu in MO, you need to find it there in your mods folder in mod organizer.

Yoda4sw Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 So in Mo , you should have a " mod" for the fins data, you want to add the generateforuser.exe from that mod as the source location for your load list, sorry if this doesn't make much sense on phone so limited slightly.
Guest endgameaddiction Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 Why did you use NMM to installing through MO? That's probably the culprit.
RitualClarity Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 You have either install it wrong or configured it wrong..
Yoda4sw Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 Ok, if it's skyrim filepath then you need to run skyrim once to find it.
RitualClarity Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 Why did you use NMM to installing through MO? That's probably the culprit. Yes.. NMM uses virtual folder and can mess with MO. It needs to be installed through MO for proper functionally. You can install it manually to the game data folder but you still have to properly set it up. However it is best to install through MO. It makes it so easy to install and upgrade. The video shows all the steps in a very simple process that can be followed and in the end you will have the proper setup and FNIS will work. Also before starting Skyrim through SKSE or whatever make sure you manually started the game at least once or you will get an FNIS error. http://wiki.step-project.com/Fores_New_Idles_in_Skyrim Since you must launch FNIS through Mod Organizer in order for it to recognize your mods, add FNIS to the list of executables by doing the following: In the right pane, go to the Data tab. Locate the tools folder and expand it. Then expand the GenerateFNIS_for_Users folder. Right-click the GenerateFNISforUsers.exe file and select [Add as executable]. In the window that opens, type FNIS for the executable name. Click [OK]. Now each time you want to run FNIS, simply select it from the drop-down menu at top right and click Run.
Arhon Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 Why did you use NMM to installing through MO? That's probably the culprit. Exactly dont use NMM to install it trough MO, its too incompatible .
Guest Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 i get what you guys are saying but my actual problem is that i cant findd the tools folder after going to the data tab
RitualClarity Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 The tools are in the mod folder that you installed. You have to navigate to it to use it. It would be under Users like informed above with the quote. My path. Unfortunately that is about the best advise I believe anyone can give. It depends on where you installed it. With NMM there are some virtual folder vs. data folder thing that is going on that I haven't figured out. It might be in the virtual folder for NMM where you decide to install it. Check there if you still are using the NMM install path. (which of course you see most advise against that) Oh by the way there is really no reason to use NMM as there is a nmm module inside of MO that allows the installation of NMM formatted or advised mods. . You don't even need FOMM now with some of the mods unless you need to access some of the tools included with FOMM, same goes for OBMM. ifyou ever go to Oblivion. Wyre bash however would be essessintal to use through mod for again the tools it provides.

Guest endgameaddiction Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 Okay, that makes more sense. On your load order side above click on the tab downloads and then click on FNIS in the list you should be able to install it from there. When it's done it will appear on your mod list panel on the left and will be installed in your mods folder in mod organizer folder.

It's already installed, i cant find a tools folder in data and when i go to the mods folder it says its not running from my skyrim directory.
Guest endgameaddiction Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 Do you see FNIS in your left panel. Your mod list? If so, right click on it and then click on -Open with explorer- If no tools folder is in there, something happened either with the installation, or downloading it from Nexus to Mod Organizer.

Guest endgameaddiction Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 I would uninstall it and try reinstalling it again. If you get the same error. Maybe try manually downloading and installing FNIS through mod organizer. If that also gives you an error, the other suggestion I would give is asking for help in the FNIS thread here or the FNIS comment section on Nexus. That or wait for someone who knows more to reply here. I've never gotten any errors installing FNIS or even Bodyslide for that matter.
RitualClarity Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Oh.. like she said that makes more sense. Open MO.. then open MODs. inside of mods you will see FNIS folder. (name you gave it when you installed it. etc). Inside that you will find the tools folder. Inside that you will find the GenerateFNIS_for_Users folder. The file you need is inside that. If you open MO/MOds and you can't find the FNIS folder than it isn't installed or installed properly.. (never seen it not happen properly) Then you need to reinstall (perhaps uninstall whatever you had before) and then use the tools to create a new FNIS launcher like the quoted box I gave above or Gopher's video would tell you how to do it. Your directory is strange. I am however using an older directory but the second "data" before the tools isn't part of my file path. You can see my path above. Perhaps there was some errors in your installation of FNIS. Also some errors like you might get from FNIS can be resolved by starting the game at least once and allowing it to set the graphic settings. You don't have to start a new game just start it and allow its settings to be created. Then the warnings should disappear if that is the ones you are getting. We are getting somewhere. Have patience we will figure it out sometime soon.. hopefully..

RitualClarity Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Yea!... Once we understood that you wern't using NMM to install the mod it became apparent that the installation was strange and when you posted your file path.. .. I have done that a few times to other mods as well. It is one of the things that can happen with MO.. It is one of the first things i check when I have a problem with a mod in MO. Oh I actually forgot just use the "explore" option when clicking on the mod that has been installed and then check the file structure. That would have shown that the structure was wrong and give you a quick hint to how to fix it. Sorry, dam flu is making my brain work slowly at best.
