CK help please?

it seems as though my creation kit has stopped working. it won't let me make a simple edit to a piece of armor from heavy to light. i've been able to do this simple edit with many items in the past so i don't understand why i'm unable to now. to be specific. according to CK it is changed. but the change is not reflected in game. if it helps, here's my LOOT load order.

Is the change still there when you open it up in the CK again? Maybe there's something you missed.

CK isn't perfect, It's one of the reasons TES5edit is better for small edits like that.

i wasn't aware TES5edit could do the same thing. EDIT: i just checked following my instincts and according to both CK AND TES5edit the changes have occured...just not in game.

 

EDIT AGAIN: i seem to have fixed the problem. the item in question is now showing as light armor. i'm running SkyRe. i took a chance and ran the reproccer. problem solved. now i feel like a total newb.
