Completely stumped.

Recently I've decided to get back into oblivion. Part of this was making a new chocolate elf and trying out some more BU armors and some more mods from here.

However...

Something seems to have messed with my skeleton file. And now no matter which I switch to, it doesn't seem to load right and I get the crazy boobs off into space problem.

I've tried all sorts of different kinds of archive invalidation. Nothing works. Anyone have any idea why it might be doing this?

Janet, check your mods to make sure you have not installed one that includes a skeleton in a bsa file. This "hidden" skeleton can cause all kinds of havoc.

The best and most reliable form of archive invalidation is via bsa redirection. You can do it via OBMM or Wrye: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/index.php/Oblivion_Mods_FAQ#Archive_Invalidation

If the above doesn't help you solve things post your load order and what skeleton that you have installed (or are trying to install) and I will take a look to see what may be going on.

The latest and greatest skeleton right now is growlf's universal skeleton - the controllable version: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=37596

I ended up getting frustrated and fixed it myself. By doing a plain archive invalidation and adding a BSA with the skeletons in it to my BSA files in the ini.

No idea why it needed that. I did check for hidden skeletons and couldn't find any.

Yea, it does sound strange. I guess as long as it is working properly now that is all that matters. The joys of modding. :s
