Synth types would be interesting, but I think it'd be cool to have a sliding level of realism there, maybe based off your skill level?  Start with basically a Protectron with two bowls welded to the front, move your way up to some sexualized assaultrons, then something human using the robot skin textures, followed by full on Synths?
