Hamguy31 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Usually Fallout 4 would have micro stutters in some regions, and recently i change some graphics settings and my game became totally unplayable. I found a setting in the Nvidia Control Panel that boosts FPS dramatically, My game has never ran smoother even the feel of the game is better and more responsive with less input lag. to activate this setting first go to NVIDIA control panel / 3d Setting / Manage 3d Setting/ Global Setting/ Maximum pre-renderd Frames = change to 1. This option changes the pre-rendered frames to 1, normally there are 2-3-4 pre-rendered frames by the cpu to be renders by the GPU which impact FPS. This also has made skyrim run smoother than ever before as well as other games. https://www.khronos.org/vulkan/
G0ldSil3nce Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 also go enable triple buffering in 'manage 3d settings'
Hamguy31 Posted March 8, 2016 Author Posted March 8, 2016 also go enable triple buffering in 'manage 3d settings' Doing this will use more Vram so if you have a lot of mods it might not be good idea. also its unnecessary unless you suffer screen tearing.
