Gender bender mod idea (request?)

Hey people, how difficult would it be to create a mod that allows you to change your gender? You would first put on a special ring or equipment, go to the race menu to create a male/female version of your character, and you would turn into whatever you decided to be. Taking off the ring/equipment would change you back, but the ring would remember the male/female version of yourself, thus creating a gender (or race) changing ring.

 

I feel like the toughest part would be to get the ring to remember the two versions of you.

Is this at all possible? It would certainly be a step up from having to re-create your character from scratch every time.

If I had to come up with some clever way to do this, Your suggested mod would have to utilize this one.

The tricky part comes with race change. As far as I know every single time you change races your stats get reset. So gender change could work but race change seems a little difficult unless you specify that this is supposed to be for low level characters who's stats aren't that difficult to regain.

That could however be part of the fun to some people. You could be this god mode lvl 90 Nord guy and next you get turned into a lvl 1 argonian woman who couldn't even kill a bandit.

 It's good to know that it is feasible to make this mod. It would definitely be interesting to see a level 1 fighting a level 50 bandit, maybe it that sense it could be a cursed ring! Lol, now you've gotten me excited for a mod that probably isn't going to happen. Thanks for the response though!

Go check the DL section for gender change - I recall 3 mods with that idea so far. Nothing with a ring, but something similar would be "immersive gender change" via a "power". Good mod, go test it.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, however, all of the mods I found only changed the SL gender, not the actual gender.

Sorry, I overread that. You mean like a switch between two racemenu / ECE presets? No, that surely does not exist.
