Mod Organizer Profile ideas - different ways to play Skyrim

Recommended Posts

NOTE: As this post involves both Adult and non-Adult mods for Skyrim, I'm posting it in General Discussion rather than either of the other forums which do not strictly apply. If this is an error, I apologize. No pictures are included in this post, so it should remain SFW.

So, my current comp is unable to play games at the moment. I'm saving up for a new one, building my first purely gaming rig (I posted a thread about it in another forum). In the meantime, I'm going thru serious Skyrim withdrawals. I've been keeping up with updates to mods I used before, as well as newer ones that are still coming out, and I've been mentally compiling lists of new Mod Organizer profiles for new game runs once I have the new PC built. I figured I'd share some of my old builds, as well as ideas for new ones, to maybe give other players some inspiration for new playthrus of their own. Additionally, maybe people could share their own profiles/mod setups to swap ideas.

Anyway, I'm not going to post any links to these mods because I've had issues with the Bbcode recognizing the links and I don't feel like fighting it right now. All the mods I'll mention can easily be found on the Skyrim GEMS site, Nexusmods, or right here at Loverslab.

First off, here's the main (base) profile I plan on making as soon as I get everything installed and running. It'll be the template I copy when I set up all the other profiles, as it will have all the base patches, fixes and core improvements I plan to use across everything. Additionally, these mods are in non-specific order (i.e. not optimized LOOT order). If anyone notices anything unnecessary or obsolete, please let me know so I can replace it.

Base Build:

All the USKP patches, as they seem fairly standard.

SKSE

Fuz Ro D-Oh

SkyUI

A Quality World Map and Solstheim Map - With Roads

Auto Unequip Ammo

Fores New Idles In Skyrim - FNIS

XP32 Maxiumum Skeleton Extended

I plan on sticking with CBBE and BodySlide, although I may experiment more with some other body types such as UNP or UUNP, whichever seems to have the most armor mods available to it (which I still think CBBE trumps them both, I admit I could be mistaken). CBBE just seems to be the most versatile body mod I've come across, and has the largest selection of armors (which is important to me). I like using different body types for different gameplay styles (for instance, with my Realism setup I prefer a more realistic, less overtly sexual body style; for my SexLab setups, obviously, I prefer a more “exaggerated” style :P).

Jaxonz Positioner (Very useful for positioning things like the milkers from the Milk Mod Economy and the spinning wheel from Cloaks of Skyrim)

Brawl Bugs Patch

Customizable Camera

JContainers

PapyrusUtil (Not sure how much this file is REALLY necessary)

RaceCompatibility for Skyrim and Dawnguard

HDT Physics Extensions (So I like jiggle physics across all my profiles, so what :P)

KenMOD - Lockpick Pro (Yes, it's a cheat, but I've done SO MUCH lockpicking when I played Skyrim on the PS3, grinding out the Lockpicking skill again and again, I'm tired of it and I prefer an easier out. Therefore, this mod goes across all builds.)

Run For Your Lives

When Vampires Attack

Alternate Start - Live Another Life (I love the options this mod gives. Aside from just cancelling out the opening Helgen cinematic, I love all the different starting options, and the addons that add even more. I love starting out with a particular “theme” for a playthru, determined by the starting location/occupation provided by this mod. One of my absolute faves.)

I *think* those are all the core files I had on my old profiles, tho I may be missing a few. I may try a few more with the new build (I think there are a couple CTD patches I'm overlooking).

Now then, my main Realism build looked a bit like this.

Realism:

Frostfall - Hypothermia Camping Survival (I loved Frostfall and everything about it. Added so much to the world.)

Cloaks of Skyrim & Winter Is Coming - Cloaks (Almost REQUIRED when you run Frostfall, as the cloaks and other added items help with hypothermia)

Wet and Cold

Campfire - Complete Camping System (Now a requirement for Frostfall)

Realistic Needs and Diseases (I prefer this one over iNeed. Whether I'm just USED to RN&D or whether iNeed was just unintuitive, I don't know. Maybe I'll get iNeed another try someday.)

Hunterborn (Preferred to Hunting in Skyrim, tho Hunterborn is wildly outdated by now, I think)

A Matter of Time - A HUD clock widget (I like having this one on hand so I know how soon night will fall, which is something you need to know when playing Frostfall.)

Death Alternative - Your Money or Your Life

Stones of Barenziah Quest Markers (Super useful for such an annoying fetch quest)

Path of Shadows (This was my main stealth overhaul, but I may experiment with others)

Sneak Tools (I used to use this mod across all profiles, but I noticed I hardly ever used the functionality, so I may restrict it to just Realism next time.)

Localized Thieves Guild Jobs (Makes it waaaaaaaay easier to become Guild Master with this mod)

Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade & all assorted mods (there are A LOT.) (I really dug this mod, and the extra stuff it added.)

Immersive Jewelry (Another one that adds tons of shit. I like variety. This one would probably benefit from using the YPS Immersive Piercings mod.)

Non-Essential Children (Because HAHAHAHAHA)

These are the core files I like for Realism. I stripped this down a lot to help performance, but with a better rig I plan on adding and experimenting with more mods. For instance:

Climates Of Tamriel (I just started experimenting with this before my old PC started having problems. I'd used weather/lighting mods with Fallout 3 & NV, and was really enjoying using one with Skyrim.)

Maybe one of the other weather mods that's compatible with Climates. I really want more diversity in the weather system, maybe one that works well with Frostfall as well.

After playing Bloodborne extensively, I really want to try out Wearable Lanterns.

I usually use some sort of realistic (i.e. not skimpy) CBBE compatible armor mod. Be nice to find one that kept the heavy armors solid but allowed the anatomy under it to use HDT.

I'd like to experiment with Skyrim Immersive Creatures, and even the Monster Mod.

I've had great fun doing a specific Wildling run, coupled with the Realism mods. Makes things very unique and challenging.

Another mod I really love is the Relics of Hyrule one. I've had lots of CTD and save corruption issues with this mod, so I tried running it in its own profile with no other potentially conflicting mods running at the same time and had a little better luck, but I really wanna get back to this on some better hardware and fully explore all it has to offer.

Now, I REALLY love the Better Vampires mod. I used to run it as part of my Realism profile, but I eventually noticed it cancelled out much of the functionality of Frostfall and RN&D, so what was the point of keeping them running in the background? So, I decided to start an entirely separate profile specifically for vampire runs. It included Better Vampires, and additionally a mod called Corpse Preparation - True Necromancy. This is a VERY cool mod that expands on necromancy quite a bit, allowing you to have numerous resurrected undead minions. Seemed appropriate for a vampire run. I'd also like to use some vampire-themed armor mods, something of a more gothic or dark nature (I've never been married to lore, so armors that aren't strictly Elder Scrolls themed are fine).

I've also done some experimenting with Moonlight Tales. I don't really have any interest in playing as a werewolf, but I liked that it added a variety of were-themed encounters and enemies to the environment. A nice addition for a Vampire run.

Okay, that's all the realistic stuff, now for the REAL fun.

I had two Sexlab themed profiles.

A Sexlab profile starts with the Framework, obviously. Then there are some standards I prefer having across multiple profiles.

Non-SexLab Animation Pack & Zaz Animation Pack

SoS - Schlongs of Skyrim, and any mods that add schlongs for females, of various types (specifically the horsecock)

SlaveTats, because this is a mod I can't really live without. I even use it on my Realism profiles.

SexLab Aroused Redux is a requirement for MOST of the mods that follow.

SexLab Hormones is another that carries a lot of weight. I LOVE the integration into PSQ and the added Bimbofication questline.

SexLab STDs, tho I wish there was more functionality to this one. Also, most times I'll diminish the chances of contracting an STD to such a point it renders the mod pretty much obsolete. I like to keep it for runs that are more 'wanton slut' playthrus than just 'amorous adventures'.

SexLab Defeat, because I prefer other “options” in the event of a lost combat encounter.

Sexlab - Skyrim Cum on Clothes & Layered Bukkake (ScocLB), because hell yeah, bukkake!

Beastess:

SexLab Nude Creatures & More Nasty Critters are pretty much required for this profile.

Sexlab Beastess is also pretty much a necessity. It's kind of outdated with all the other beast-themed mods floating around, but I still like it. I like the shouts it gives, and some of the extra spells.

Untamed has almost superseded Beastess in its functionality. When I run the new profile, I may leave Beastess disabled and just go with this one. I like having the extra protection a pack of wolves (or sabercats, or giants) provides, especially if doing a pure Beastess “no armor” run.

SexLab Aroused Creatures is also pretty neat, especially when I'm running a more submissive character.

SexLab More Creatures because variety! Yay!

SexLab Werewolves to go along with Moonlight Tales, and offers better implementation of Werewolf privates :P

I was really impressed with the mods Bestial Essence and Animal Mansion mods (tho I'm not 100% sure which Animal Mansion mod to use anymore). Neither are quite finished, but it's nice having MORE to do during a Beastess playthru than just run around getting shagged :P

EstrusForSkyrim, Estrus Chaurus and Estrus Chaurus+ for added tentacle fun.

So eventually, I realized the Beast-themed mods kind of conflicted with the Devious themed mods, so I separated the two into two distinct profiles.

Devious:

Obviously the three main files: Assets, Expansion and Integration.

I've never really been able to get Aradia Devious Devices Integrated to work with a CBBE HDT body, but I still like the aesthetic. Maybe I'll be able to find it work in the future.

ImmerSlave & Alternate Start - Live a Deviant Life Resurrection, because sometimes you just wanna start in chains.

I always enjoyed the Captured Dreams Shop questline, but I had lots of CTD issues with it before, tho that could have been due to conflicting mods. I plan on giving it another go on new hardware.

Devious Devices - For the Masses I I, because I like having Devious stuff scattered around the world.

Deviously Cursed Loot is an amazing, and frustrating, DD mod that I cannot live without. Tho I tend to tune the frequencies of curses to minimal levels, I still like having the chance of bindings while dungeon delving.

Sanguine Debauchery enhanced (and all its requirements). I love starting the downfall of a “pure” character by discovering the Sanguine statue, or one of the dream sequences.

I like the Hydra Slavegirl mod, but it's given me nothing but trouble in the past (including, but not limited to, CTDs and inexplicably GIANT NPCs (I'm talking 50 foot woman sized)).

Deviously Enslaved (and all the compatible mods not already listed, such as Slaverun, Maria Eden, PetCollar & Paradise Halls). I tend to stay away from Wolfclub because I don't usually install creature animations on this profile.

SexLab Skooma Whore, for my “downward spiral” runs, which leads to...

Radiant Prostitution, because you gotta feed the habit somehow.

SexLab Mind Control can be fun.

I've tried a lot of the Bounty/Crime sex mods, but never had much luck with them. Although, I DO really enjoy Prison Overhaull and the associated Patches mod.

On top of the Devious mod, I also like to have a profile specifically devoted to Player Succubus Quest, along with some companion mods, like Summon Succubus Twins and one other succubus follower mod that escapes my memory right now. Puppet Master is integral for this profile, and the mind control aspects of a succubus. I'll usually end up with a number of unwilling thralls during a PSQ run.

That's all for now. I'll probably get ideas for other profiles and additional mods when I can finally play again. What does everyone think? Does it give anyone any ideas? Does anyone have any suggestions for play styles or mods to compliment these profiles?

Getting back to Skyrim after close to a year break, so it is nice to see a little mod review like this to see if I may be missing something new. MO is useful for trying out different loads. Last time I played I loaded up on a lot of enhancements recommended by STEP, with a bunch of LL mods on top of that. Didn't seem to be the most stable game, and I am not sure all the enhancements were worth all the work and load piling everything up, so this time around I will slim things back down again.

I don't normally have a realism build separate from my sexlab mods, I just don't have the time to spend on multiple runs like that. I tend to have the sex as a nice diversion from running around surviving and saving the world. Plus too much sex in a game can get a bit boring. So one thing I haven't really explored yet are the heavy slavery mods like SD+. Don't want their scripts loading up a game if I am not going to use them, but with MO I can copy a build and add one of them to test out when I am ready.

So for my mods, I agree with the base build except I haven't tried customizable cameras, and I haven't tried the lockpick mod yet, but I may do that this time through. Realism I mostly match, haven't seen the campfire one before, but I will have to if I want frostfall. I was just reading in a different thread that wet and cold may have issues, so I may drop that one. I do recommend wearable lanterns, very nice to not have to constantly swap out gear when exploring a dungeon. Hunterborn and the  thief related ones I haven't used as I tend towards fighter/mage. And non-essential children definitely does not mix with sexlab.

Frostfall has a nice little synergy with bathing in skyrim in my mind. It has that nice little wetness counter, so you can actually dry off after a bath. And it makes RP sense to not get dressed again until after you dry off, so you aren't running around in wet clothes. So bathing near/in town can mean huddling next to a brazier or something, ready to dash off and hide if a guard or someone should come by, trying to dry off before you freeze. I also usually set hypothermia to not be fatal, so I don't have to worry about the other mods potentially killing me in the name of fun times.

Sexlab our tastes diverge a bit, as I am not that interested in bimbobification or bukkake. The devious load is more my style. Don't see anything missing under sexlab stuff.

A few other mods I like:

BAMM - Bodyslide Amrour Merge Mod - lots of skimpy armors in one mod for the eye candy.

ApachiiSkyHair - Nice collections of hairs, and some mods use them to pretty up NPCs.

Apocalypse - Magic of Skyrim - Adds lots of nifty spells for a mage. - magic overhaul

Bandolier - could always use a little more carrying capacity.

Ebonvale - Nice little extra town.

Trade and Barter - Merchant revamp

Always interesting to find out what mods other players find interesting.

About Animal Mansion: the Plus version can considered stable at least, not sure if finished because the profile i had the most progress was broken by other mods and i didn't replay yet. Nevertheless i'm waiting for the new version atm, some rewrite, more quests and things :) Same for Captured Dreams.

Aroused Creatures can easily be replaced by Scent of Sex which includes possibilities for human random sex attacks, consensual sex, prostitution,... You create your own rules for quite everything including certain areas, NPCs, ... whatever you want.

For bodies: there are two mods on nexus called 'bounce and jiggles', one for CBBE+ similar (CT77, Dreamgirl,...) and one for (U)UNP/7B etc. which include pregnancy, HDT and collision, working vagina and everything redy to go just after install.
