steeleyedblue Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 yeah the nexus used to be great but now the moderators are fucking nuts... they ban you in chat now if you even say the word jailbreak (because its a term for hacking a ps3 to install mods). last week i saw someone get banned because they were talking about how their data files is in their program files directory and not in some steam folder... they said that it was because thats supposedly how ppl play the pirated version... i think the nexus has just gotten too big, they are so scared of getting sued, that they wont even let ppl upload monster hunter mods or vindictus armors.... if you ask me the whole lot of em can just go to hell since they want to act like this

In terms of moderation nexus is corrupted as fuck. To describe one of my experiences with the nexus chat: Something like 2 weeks after the skyrim release i've shown a screenshot in the chat because i thought it was impressive (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/imageshare/image.php?id=6539), and suddenly the channel douche named Blackbaron with some numbers in the back of his name told me to stop posting spoilers. By all means, 2 weeks after release i think we all saw dragonsreach and draugr allready. So yeah i told him that and that this is no spoiler in any way, the green moderator myrmaad steppen in the chat and told me to stop, because i demanded an apology from Blackbaron for false accusing me of spoilering. Well long story short end, i got a chat ban for 3 days because i "argumented" with a moderator. So remember, if you are in chat on the nexus, don't talk to the allmighty green and blue coloured gods of self-established chat rules there. It's a wonder it was just a 3 day chatban not a lifetime ban.

steeleyedblue Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 the nexus hasn't gotten too big you say lmao look up how much their american servers cost them last year... i think the # was around $1,700 A MONTH and according to my country's (USA) tax returns for the nexus the website GROSSED over $80,000 with its advertisements and donations that it received... yet its classified as a non profit organization.... because the moderators that manage the site DON"T receive any pay... which means the site owner aka THE DARK ONE, receives the money without any taxes or with very little being taken out. now i can't attest to other countries or how much he made in them but i can say that the site's american tax records indicate that the nexus is making a large ass amount of money in a very short amount of time... and the funny ass part is that this guy is getting paid for ppl becoming "premium" members without any benefits at all.... just saying the guys an ass but hes a smart ass

I will warn everyone to not make the same mistake. That being...looking at his deviant art account lol. So if you want to cry, drewl, beg, or whatever suits your fancy; look at the pictures on here: zero's dev art I haven't went through all this stuff, but dam this one caught my eye just from quality alone: I do 3d renders myself, but his quality is out of this world. I'm guessing his comp is a beast lol. Despite all else I hope we see more armors to come. Perhaps someone can convince him to do work on LL, since of course he constantly says he hated the nexus. Heh I'm also a long time member of vgu and here as well. Gotta say its the best of both worlds

Shweet this is good news, that guys work is bloody impressive, always at the level of an expert - good models, perfected even before release and such dedicated textures, the amount of details he puts in on both the models and textures? christ. As for him being a dick? do remember, its his own effort, if he only releases a few of them and not the ones you want? so be it, he's not getting paid for it - just doing it, merely because he desires to? doesn't mean he owes anyone shit. But yes ... his armors do drive me nuts as well.

[/quote'] That's the reason...just sayin' I like the idea of making it emphasize the female proportions more but leaving a bigger part of the legs unprotected already kills the purpose of heavy armor imo.
