frostbyte2015 Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 OK have down loaded a few files I want to install into my Game. Skyrim. Some of the files are 7z. no problem. But, some are labeled "TGZ". My Game does not recognize these files. 1. I have sent them to compressed zip. same result they show in the Data folder as TGZ. RAR knife will not open or reformat them. Note pad opens them but.... So how do I get them to work??? Thanks for any insight!
gregathit Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Are you sure you don't mean tgz? This is a type of compressed file (also referred to as gzip). 7zip should be able to open it. Make sure you have the latest version of 7zip: http://www.7-zip.org/ It would also help if you pointed to the thread that you downloaded the files from. Moved to Skyrim tech support section.
frostbyte2015 Posted February 7, 2016 Author Posted February 7, 2016 Nope still nothing. Redown loaded 7zip. with 7Z, I get a, "warning" can not open file as a [gzip] the file is open as a [RAR] archive. RAR knife does nothing. Still doesn't work. So I have no idea what to do.
