so i just tried to run an animation with a npc and when i did there was this weird yellow and grey box covering them. while in the box their hair on there heads were missing. so i tried another animation and the head was popping out of the box and the hair was showing for one of them. i then tried with a creature and it worked perfectly. could it be missing textures? or something? any help would be appreciated. :D

i cant screenshot it so here is an example.

Anytime you see those yellow triangles it is due to a missing mesh. If this was during sex then reinstall the resource file then the base pack and you won't see this anymore.

If this is not lovers based then it is the wrong forum section as this is the lovers tech support area. :)

I'm a bit of a newbie to 'Lover's', I have the same problem, I've reinstalled (what I think was) the base pack, and after some looking, I figure none of the creature meshes were working. I turn off the mods, and they're all back again. NPCs still show up fine, but there's another weird problem: odd clipping problems like giving head to a phantom penis (the guy getting blown is actually about a foot away, pretending to get sucked).

Gonna go to bed for now, but I'll bookmark this thread and maybe post a screenshot for more clarity if anyone wants it.

Kay, so I just deactivated ArchiiveInvalidator's meshes overwrite option and everything seems to be working fine. Naturally, this means some of my other mods don't work though. Oh well.

Did you reinstall this: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=29

Then this: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=7

And on the archive invalidation: are you still using the old txt method? If so drop that like a bad habit and go the bsa redirection route.

So basically instead of the 'Invalidation' I just select 'Redirection'?

I have indeed reinstalled them; and in that order. S'pose I'll go try redeirection now.

P.S. Thanks for the reply, I thought this thread was already dead.

At the link I posted before regarding archive invalidation, it does have a picture showing you what to do.

If you can't get things to work or don't understand what you need to do just holler. Feel free to necro any post in the tech support area and/or make a new thread if you need it. Besides myself there are other "lurkers" :P who will try to help you through a problem.

Cheers :)

I had the similar problem with the WTF mesh thing on my male character and off animation when I tried the from behind on the bed scene. I first did the drag and drop method. I downloaded the files a couple more times just in case I might have screwed up and still had the missing meshes and the animation was off.

How I got it to work properly was open up OMM. Hit the create button and click add archive. Went to the zipped file that I d/l and clicked on it. After it loads I clicked create omod. Once again after it loads I clicked whatever it asked to click. I did this for both files mentioned above, and it works like a charm now.

Now this might have been the right way from the start and I was just ignorant. Or this was a redneck duct tape fix to get it working. Someone with more knowledge can point that out with a ruler smack to my knuckles.

BTW, thanks for all those that made this work. Been a blast playing it.

You did fine. :)

The method you used is probably the best route for those starting out modding. Once you get more advanced you can switch to Wrye Bash/Bain.

Manual dragging and dropping relies on the mod maker creating the proper directories and the person installing the mod to place things in the proper path. If one or the other get "off" then the mod won't work.
