Tutorial for perfect SexLab setup ?

Hey guys,

 

I was wondering if there is a tutorial out there which shows step by step how to get a nice body/face + compatible sex scenes etc.

 

It's not like I'm having problems with crashes, but I often encounter problems like physics not working properly on tits and/or asses, bad clipping on sex scenes, stuff that doesnt work on character edit (mostly bust or ass size) or problems with scripts (Spells/dialogue options not working)

 

I struggle to get everything working properly and it's really time consuming to let steam repair skyrim after every fail.

 

I use MO and ofc I use LOOT, but still, this doesnt seem to be enough.

I get jealous seeing scenes like that while I can't manage to install the proper mods the right way for it...

 

 

of course there is no tutorial out there to cover all mods i want to use, but maybe the most basic ones everyone wants.

 

Might there be a solution for me like Wrye Bash ? (I understand very little on how mods actually work, i barely can figure out startorders and the way they probably work...)

This small tutorial should show you how to install Sexlab Framework, the framework needed for all sexlab mods.

Here is a big list of sexlab mods. There are different categories for the mods and you can also find a small description to each mod (the description is taken from the original mod page).

This guide explains a lot about a general Skyrim setup. It could help you with making a stable game. Phase 8 is about sexlab. But keep in mind that this isn't the perfect Skyrim (there is no perfect Skyrim) and the results of the guide will be different on any computer. You can also leave things out if you don't want them, you should see most of the guide as recommendations.

About the body... That's hard. There are many different bodies and face textures available and all of them can look different with different ENBs. I would recommend you to search for threads about which body to use and also about which textures fit the body best. There are several of those here on Loverslab. Once you got a stable Skyrim, you should try out different bodies, textures and ENBs to see what setup you like the most.

You should also spend a lot of time on this. The more you know about every single mod you add, the better. Don't just install 20 mods at once to see if they're working. For the best result, you should also use tools (like LOOT) and Wrye Bash for the Bashed Patch. Look at the guide for more.

Granted, it's aimed at creatures, but it'll give you all the basics - and a lot of stuff requires Creature Framework and More Nasty Critters.

 

As an addendum to the advice about Smashed/Bashed patches - for some reason, they cause problems with Creature Framework and More Nasty Critters, such that creatures don't get genitals properly even if you're using Bash/Smash rules to preserve the ArmorAddons and such. I leave MNC, CF, and related mods and patches out of the Smashed Patch for that reason. I haven't heard of it being an issue with anything else.

 

You'll also want to get familiar with Merge Plugins Standalone (the zEdit version is still incomplete, I believe) or learn how to make your own merged mods using Tes5Edit. Unfortunately, the *huge* number of mods - particularly, mods that are just dropping items or NPCs in the world, or editing levelled lists - makes this a dire necessity.

 

The Skyrim mods reddit board has a good guide for getting a basic setup going, that also covers ENBoost and INI configuration.

 

Other than that, it pays to pay close attention to when a mod was last updated, and to go through forum posts in case there are additional patches, or known issues.
