A newby needs advice on her journey! :) [Bodyslider / Mixing stuff together]

Hello there!

I started with modding today and also discovered SexLab on my research to create the closest duplication of myself!

However, I noticed multiple things. From bodies with huge breasts that didn't react to slider adjustments in the game to bodies that don't support HDT. (at least it wasn't mentioned). The whole different types of bodies is also super confusing!

Nonetheless, I found a body that was super amazing because it has high-heel support! But .. the downside is the huge breast. So my plan is to adjust this body "UN7B and new High-Heel Feed" (54814) in Bodyslider to be more natural.

Now I have multiple questions.

Since I have to choose between CBBE and Unified UNP can I edit this body in Bodyslider?
Since the feed are a own files, can I replace a new CBBE's / Unified UNP's feed with the High-Heel suited ones?
Will a CBBE / Unified UNP body work with these two mods?:

"Working Vagina + HDT Collisions + Hair Physics Now With Belly Support" (topic/27122)

"SevenBase HDT Vagina" (topic/43159)

I don't want to bother you and I'm confident that I'm able to find all resources needed to get my stuff done. I just want to know if it is possible, so that when I get errors and fail I know I'm just doing it wrong .

Hi Charlyn, welcome to modding! Prepare for many hours of confusion

 

I can't really speak for UNP as much as I've only ever used CBBE myself, but I think that Bodyslide means you can change the body dimensions to your liking on either body. As far as I'm aware the only distinction between CBBE and UNP when using Bodyslide is presets and supporting mods (eg. armour, body textures, etc).

 

You said that the body you tried to use didn't change in game after you edited the sliders, did you make sure to click 'Build' in Bodyslide to apply the changes?

To be honest I'm not the best at explaining Bodyslide, there are plenty of great guides out there. I used this one:

Just follow the parts you need.

 

As for the high heel support, I think any body has that with the correct mods installed, I think you need the HDT HighHeel System and HDT Physics mods.

 

As for the Sevenbase HDT Vagina mod, Sevenbase is a different body mod to CBBE and UNP, so I would assume that particular mod wouldn't work with a CBBE or UNP body. Either that or it would just clip and look weird.

It puts in one package pretty much everything it looks like you're looking for, I think it will help you jumpstart on your fun here.

 

Currently it's at version 2, but a lot of us are eagerly anticipating the arrival of version 3 (even more options - yay!) soon.

 

If nothing else, the very well laid out list of requirements and what it installs and how to set it up gives you a good starting point for the kinds of things to look for.  For the body meshes in general, I've used both CBBE and UNP, personally tend to prefer CBBE modified in BodySlide to be more slim and have more realistic breasts.  UNP is definitely good for a more slim figure overall.  I find that both have quite a few armor/clothing replacers available, as well as things like high heels that are easy to find.
