Cherrypop Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 It's about Mystic elf eyes, I wasn't aware that mystic elves was bugged until I went and downloaded an companion named Eluna i believe and her was totally weird I can't remember what it looked like awhile ago but, it was like err, invisible eyes. Cuz of it, I went into character creation mode and skipped until i got to the mystic elves race, and they're eyeless. And screenshots not working even when I enabled. It says created screenshot1.bmp and 2nd as well. But dunno where to find them. So I gave up on it, and then later until now And i just noticed a pretty kewl mod I wanna give a shot. This mod. http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=39917 Problem is, every single npc is headless and body is colored neon purple. DO i have to just do a reinstall cuz i lost the original data folder. Not looking forward to it cuz I wanna start froma clean slate, I do have the backup without this mod. But.. Is there a way I can grab the Original Data folder from the installation disc without reinstalling oblivion? I tried out by putting in the 2nd disc and opening it and i see data1, data2, data3 in winrar on the disc. Is that the original data folder? edit: just tried to extract those data winrars, it's unextractable. Cuz i'm going to try to install l world on the original data folder to see if its not err messy as heck. I tried out the wrye's bash thingie. But it dont' really help me pinpoint the problems. Buncha text files is in colored blue/orange/yellow/red/green. I don't understand the color codification. And I even followed the if you don't do this warning you will get horrible npcs by setting number to 0 on three text lines in oblivion.ini file.
gregathit Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Cherry, you are pretty much going to have to reinstall. Now once you reinstall you can make a copy of your data folder (this is a good idea to periodically do this so you can recover if a mod goes south on you). And thanks, watching that video sooner or later whenever I feel like getting off my ass to do it because i'm kinda terrible with really technical stuff.

[/quote'] If you have a backup then you should be able to get things working by restoring it.
