scyth Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 I want to translate a mod from jap to eng,because i want to try how diffcult it is and how long i need for it. i hope somebody can tell me what tool i need for it. it would be nice.
RitualClarity Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I believe all you need is understanding of Japanese, FO3 and GECK. Go thorough and translate the dialogue over from Japanese to English or whatever language you wish. If you try machine translation there will be much missed as they aren't so good in getting the true concept or idea across. Some alteration would have to happen (reason for you understanding Japanese to a point at least.

Oh well, seems OP has gone somewhere for now. That is very nice of you to offer to translate. Perhaps maybe even help him/her with the process provided they also know Japanese. There are many good mods that can be translated and learning that skill of working with GECK can lead someone into working on other mod related tasks as well. AS for him being gone. I am pretty sure he/she will return..
Almodo Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Yeah, it's funny how you can glean into the designing process by looking at variable names written in romanized Japanese when you open those JP mods in GECK/Creation Kit. Or at least hair names in Lings/Mikoto, haha.
