So about removing Preston... I had a idea.

I just heard that you can kill any NPC with a .ini change, even important ones. (By removing the 'important' tag.)

 

I was wondering if you can get any NPC to trigger quests, and speak dialouge?

 

Would it be possible to trigger the tag, put Preston somewhere in the game world and 'kill' him (perhaps by putting in a deathclaw that's aggro'd agins't him somehow.) and then having a custom NPC put into the game at the same points where Preston is supposed to show up?

 

I was on 8/v when it was released and saw the shitstorm when people reacted to Preston. I'm generally intrested in Fallout 4's adult mods but am wondering if I'd have to play through the missions with Preston and deal with the faggot to get at the good stuff.

Preston is useful up until you complete the Castle quests, afterwhich he's this annoying prick who does nothing and never shuts the fuck up about how everybody across the commonwealth need MY help. There isn't much in Concord with or without Preston and his group. finish the MC without ever going to Concord, there's enough PA thrown around the Commonwealth you don't need the T-45 in Concord. there's no abundant resources to loot. if you hate Preston so much leave em there it's just one less faction you have to pick from/deal with. Go help Danse or Follow the Freedom trail or fuck em all and just blow shit up everyones bitching about FO4 being a FPS anyway so treat it like one, problem solved. I've actually treated it as such in more then one playthrough.

I'd be lying if I said the first thing to pop into my head, wasn't "I hope someone does this for Preston in Fallout 4"

 

Generally speaking, I don't have an issue with him until he starts sending me all over the map for repeating quests, but I suppose I'd be more inclined to do it for a trim little hard bodied, African American chick in her Standard issue Minuteman Thong uniform.
