baloneysammich Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Hello, LL! Â I wrote a bash script to keep me abreast (har, har) of updates to mods on the nexus. In short, you use it to create a database of tracked mods, then compare the date in the db to the most recent upload date from the 'Files' tab of the mod page. Â If anyone is interested, I'll upload it somewhere and explain it in more detail.
a666 Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Wow looks interesting, I'm a big fan of bash scripting, I've made some myself. You used curl or wget? Mind if I take a look?
baloneysammich Posted June 14, 2012 Author Posted June 14, 2012 There didn't seem to be any interest so I forgot about this thread. I need to look over it again to remember how it works. I'll pastebin it sometime soon.
deltadeath93 Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 thats the only thing i like about the steam mods they auto install the newest versions as mods are updated. if nexus or ll could figure out a way to do the same it would be epic. no more hunting for updates for each mod as the latest patch or dlc breaks them. especially since i have like 100 mods for skyrim. most just to fix there screw ups and lazyness. if they had half a clue they would download the graphic and repair mods like clip fixing, framrates, graphic enhancments, and merge them into a dlc to save us all the hassle. i think id die of shock.
