Sickotik Mods Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I'm a graphics artist, looking to work with a mesh artist to make a sexy but not TOO slutty line of lore friendly clothing. Using name brand Fallout logos, and newly created 1950 stylized ones. Basically, I'll create about 20 or so Lore friendly T-Shirt designs, and have someone else change the meshes on each one a little. Just crop them a bit in places for variation. Then I can texture those, fill out the FO4edit and package them. I just need someone who can mesh alter. Or teach me how.
BringtheNoise Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 This is Nightasy's YouTube page. The first set is a complete walk thru on how to build meshes from scratch using maya, bodyslide 3/outfit studio, nifscope, and (as soon as he publishes them) textures via Photoshop. https://www.youtube.com/user/BrainPoof Now if you have an existing Mesh/Nif you want to use you can skip the part of creating and instead look at editing the meshes in either Maya (if you need to increase the poly/vertex count) or just in bodyslide's Outfit Studio (for conforming to a shape and creating a bodyslide package). DeserterX (nsk13 on Nexus) has already created a set of reto set with shorts and a tank top. And there is already a mod using the "Prewar Dress" mesh as a base. To be honest the Prewar Dress could use some mesh tweaking in the cheast area as it is blockly/low poly as all get out in the chest section.
rubberbutt Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 As a graphic artist, it would be better practice for you, to take a single mesh, and use the various maps(alpha, normal, specularity) to vary the designs. Yes, I stop myself at hobbyist(because I don't want it becoming my job and sucking all the fun out of it), but I've had several people going to college for this crap, tell me I'm a better teacher than their proffessors
