Bloodfang Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Hi guys, I'm having a bit of trouble to edit the projectile and impact explosion of the Gauss Rifle. I'm trying to get it red instead of the blueish kamehameha. I've managed to locate both meshes files, and it seems there's no textures for them. Rather the color seems to be set by the "emissive color" (I'm not 100% sure but I think it's how it works). For the beam I got the emissive color line, however for the impact explosion, I can't find anything that could be linked to the color. I was wondering if anyone could give me a hand on this. I uploaded the meshes so people could have a quick look at them. Thank you ! EDIT : tried to change the emissive colors but it didn't worked. No idea how to set the colors Effects.rar
Bloodfang Posted January 14, 2016 Author Posted January 14, 2016 Mmh sorry if this sounds noobish but how can I edit the textures of the beam/impact only with Fo4Edit ?
Jeffglobal Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Did you look at the material file for the meshes, or look at the mesh in Nifskope to see wtf it's pointing to? Wait a second... Holy crap, this mesh has animated effects, and I actually was looking for one that had the NiAlphaProperty...this is the most complex control scheme I've seen...Bethesda is using a lot of stuff from Skyrim, but idk anything from any game. If you learn how this mesh is working, you could do anything. This has procedural Geometry and Lighting. I see how Jon thinks cause he put definitions in the float over of variables, he thinks he documented the software...oh boy. I thought ppl didn't answer you because they are mean and won't share. Anyone who understands this mesh control scheme can do ANYTHING with the nifs. Conclusion: oh boy.
