Blade & Soul Schoolgirl outfit (CBBE body) for Fallout 4

Quick port from http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/1859-bns-school-uniform-set-cbbe-tbbp-bodyslide/ of the Blade & Soul schoolgirl outfit.

This can actually be used with any body since it no longer includes a body mesh. It just overlays on top. The body and sliders it's built from is based on CBBE though. You may need to tweak it a bit to make it work on others.

Requires Armorsmith Extended http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2228/?
If you want to attach legendary mods you need http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4042/?

If you want to give the outfit to a companion (or other npc), you will need to equip them with an Armorsmith Extended nudifying ring or equivalent. This mod does not use body slot 33 to remove the under armor so npc's would just equip it on top.

You can attach just about any other armor mod as well as ballistic weave (though you need to unlock that via the railroad quest or use console command).

How to get:

  1. Craft at Armorsmith workbench under OUTFITS - Skimpy Shorts.
  2. Use console with item id xx00080a

Known Issues:

  1. The default install contains meshes for CBBE Curvy non-outfit body preset. If you do not build your own set you will get clipping. There is a group filter included in the archive to assist in making the batch build easier.
  2. The mod only uses biped slot 38 - Underarmor Left Arm. This causes it not to remove other armor pieces even though they may clip. This is by design. Unequip your own armor if it bothers you. Use nudifying rings on npc's.
  3. Upgrading from any version prior to v0.4 makes the armor invisible. Also removing any additional outfit colors you might have had from prior to v0.3.
  4. Upgrading from v0.2 or earlier to v0.3 removes all except the first outfit (previously named black). To compensate for this you will need to use the armor workbench to add a color selection back to each piece. Mods are added at no cost to change outfit color once crafted. Existing outfits will have "Black" on the end of their name. You can drop and then pick it up and it should rename, or you can scrap it and re-craft it. You can also manually rename it, however you will lose dynamic naming if supported by a sorting mod.

Love it playa. Anything B&S related get two thumbs up from me. :sleepy:

Cool. I just started learning to play with 3DS so maybe I can fix the stockings issues I was having and get a proper outfit.

Well now that I got the Miss Handy to marry the Diamond City teacher I should try going back to school LOL

Nice work here. hmm white stockings and stiletto heels....oh sorry got off topic there ;)

Note: Tried it out in bodyslide but nothing happened, it looked ok "in" bodyslide but when built, in game there's no change.

Very strange. I used 2 pc's to devlop and test it. The one I test on uses the same archive I upload.

Seemingly dumb questions but:

  1. Are you using the v2 7zip archive?
  2. Are you doing a manual build or batch?
  3. If you do a manual build does it show the correct path for the output file (..\Fallout 4\Data\meshes\Armor\Blade & Soul\Schoolgirl\outfit_black.nif) post-516911-0-77775900-1452811974_thumb.png

I just uninstalled, verified it was cleaned out, reinstalled using a fresh 7zip downloaded from here and tested.

If removing and reinstalling does not fix it then something else to try would be to build the outfit to the bodyslide folder (hold the Ctrl key when you click Build) and move it to the mesh folder (Fallout 4\Data\meshes\Armor\Blade & Soul\Schoolgirl\outfit_black.nif).

If still not working please export your load order to a text file and attach so I can review for possible reasons.

Yes I have the "bns schoolgirl v2.7z" I've only done manual build on it, also to the bodyslide directory (ctrl) both were unchanged after build but looked fine in bodyslide, I may try with different presets just to make sure my personal preset hasn't gotten corrupted some how. it does seem strange though. I'll get a bit deeper into it and post back if I find anything out.

Update:::

Ok sorry for the confusion, for some reason Bodyslide started building to the wrong directory, I need to either find out why or reinstall bodyslide.

all is well as far as this outfit goes, but it looks like quite a few other outfits built to the wrong directories as well :(

May even have to reinstall FO4 if this keeps up.

Anyway sorry for the confusion ;)

update 2

Guess I should have known something was amiss when textures weren't showing up, looked in settings and found for some reason bodyslide data directory had gotten set under steam (not where I installed it) possibly the last update I did no idea. everything is back to normal now :)

Note to self:::: (OPEN YOUR EYES)   ;)

Glad you got it resolved. If you just want to fix where BodySlide is handling things. Open BodySlide, hit Settings button. Set the game type and the game installation folder. Enjoy more sliding.  :dodgy:

I would love to know how you did this. The technical nitty gritty. I've been trying to port a couple of outfits over but can't seem to get it right.

This method requires the source armor to be set for Skyrim Vanilla CBBE, not a modified version like curvy or such. If it isn't you'll need to convert it to that first or find one that uses that as base.

The quick and dirty answer for conversion is from this post here by Bartholomew Roberts

It's not a quick process but it's the only one I've gotten to work as has he. It's not the only method but it's probably one of the most straightforward ones.

If you have problems (or errors given) with Nifskope in step 1 you can use Outfit studio to open it, then export the OBJ with it. The only other change if you do that is that on step 5 you don't do the scaling only the moving.

This process doesn't work perfect all the time but it's pretty good unless you are familiar and comfortable with a 3d modeling app like blender, 3ds, maya, etc.

The shoes in particular were problematic. I had to mask one foot, then move the other, rotate and then use the mesh tools to make it cover the foot. Then swap mask and repeat for the other foot. I couldn't get the stockings right but I may revisit that still. Trying to learn 3DS a bit and try my luck there. Otherwise it looks funny when I put the socks on.

looks good

Where do you craft this in-game? I assumed it was the chem station but it's not showing in my crafting options at the chem station. I do have the required crafting mod installed.

The Armorsmith Extended crafting station.

Currently it has its own category. I hope that it doesn't cause the formlist limit bug I've been hearing about.

Hi Great outfit but how do you get the stockings? I looked at the armor station and the clothes station but they aren't in either location.

Sadly, the stockings posed a large problem for me to port so they were removed. Once I learn 3DS better I may revisit and add them back. Right now my real life plate is rather full so I don't have the most time to work on mods.

I found a pair of thigh high stockings as part of a wearable underwear mod over at Nexus, Changed them to white and the outfit is now complete.

Love this mod! First of all thank you, and good work! I'm having a slight issue however, I crafted a couple t otest it out, I then updated my Armorsmith extended files, and now I can't seem to find it on any station?! Is this because of the update or an I being an idoit?

Nope, not your fault. They changed and moved the keywords for the crafting stations out of Armorsmith Extended into the Keywords Framework. I'll update it when I get home. Also will be changing it to be 1 craftable piece instead of 4, and moving it to the outfits category instead of having its own. Will also have mod slots to change the color. So any pieces other than the original black will end up being deleted. You will be able to re-craft them with a new name that then has the mod slots to change the colors.

came here for the same reason, thank you in advance for fixing the issue with Armorsmith Extended!

Updated with modular pieces. Damn that was a lot of work. Color and hiding mods are free since it doesn't create the mod objects like other armors/weapons do.

Awesome, thanks man. I'll get that downloading asap! I've been using white I'll be naked when I play next lol. Wanted the blue, got worried when I read about one colour! Good idea to make it a mod though, saves clogging up the biuld list! Keep up the good work

Heh. Instead of clogging up the crafting list, I clogged up the mod list. Bwahahaha. Enjoy.

WOW! I see what you mean! love all the options though! Fully customisable! Though now my boobs are poking out the blouse! Is that down to my bodyslider setting for the outfit? I'd usually leave an outfit when this happens, but I just like it too damn much!

Either your body is using exteme pointy nipples, which would require using Outfit Studio to adjust to your particular sliders. Or you didn't build the outfit to the same slider set. If you want to post a screenshot and the XML of your slider set I can take a look.

Thanks man, I'll be honest though, I'm sort of new to this, I can handle a screenshot, but not entirely sure what an XML is? And yea, I don't mess around with sliders too much, It was fine before the update, so I'm a little confused. And thanks again for helping, considering this time the issue is me lol

Would it fix it if I selected my CBBE body and clicked batch build?
