long story short my lst skyrim got fucked up i nuked it to death and all skyrim related stuff I reinstalled Skyrim using my disc

TO THE POINT! i want a fresh NMM NO MODS NO RESIDUE LEFT OVER FROM LAST TIME!

so i figured out my mistake I can nuke NMM but when I reinstall it will continue from where it left off EXACTLY THE SAME causing problems... trust me it was baaaaad

i just learned that the NMM recovers from drive C > games > NMM > SKYRIM > MODS (as in nuke all the mods and profiles in the MODS folder) if I nuke whats in there will it truly stop NMM from recovering back instead of a FRESH EMPTY BACK TO SQUARE ONE MODLESS VIRGIN NMM which is what i want?

Do you mean that you want to wipe all the mods away and start fresh?

You will delete all of your mod data in NMM (FOMod and shit), but it won't affect what's in your Skyrim Data folder so you're good on that front.

Now that you're nuking NMM and uninstalling everything, would be a good time to switch to Mod Organizer. Just a suggestion.

I was planning on doing so, bc I swear nmm just freezes up a lot when I launch it an that is such a hindrance

im planning on using MO for all the mods that dont have a customizable installer because I heard MO never pops those up

and using NMM for the customizable installer mods

if u removed the mods from nmm manually(through windows explorer) they will still show up in nmm but they wont install anything, at least i think, i had a similar issue like this before but it was like when i first started modding skyrim (and still used nmm >_>) reloading nmm should fix that, or deleting the mods through nmm

if u are new to modding i would recommend MO over nmm since its easier/faster but thats just my opinion lol

This is not exactly true, first time install it pops up the installer, after that you would have to reinstall rather than unchecking if u wanted changes since MO only installs the options you picked the first time u installed it

also that might cause issues if you plan on using things perkus maximus since MO doesn't use anything outside of what was installed in MO so mods installed in nmm or manually will not be affected by patches, they will still show up in skyrim tho

however if you don't plan on using patchers ignore what i said
