CTD on loading even early stage games. "Help pls?"

So, like many others, I am having CTDs whenever I load savegames. I tried starting a new game, but some time after I start and play the game I get some random CTD and that is it for that gameplay: I cant reload the last savegames related to that new character (not autosaves not quick ones).

 

When I try to reload the save it loads it until the character appears on the screen and that is it: CTD.

 

Can anybody pls help me?

Hello, if you get a CDT when you load a game, then 99% there is a missing mod in your save game.

 

I recommend to start using Mod Organizer, because it will tell you right away what mod is missing, and causing a CDT.

Try also a Save Game Cleaner, maybe your CDT is because there is a lost script in your save game that is relying on a missing mod.

It's not a missing mod, since I didn't change anything in my mods during the gameplay, and I am indeed using mod organizer.

 

Also tried the save game cleaner and it reurned "no orphan scripts", so I am a litlle lost here...

OK, other possible problems (but really hard to find) for "in-game" CDTs are:

 

Sending some events to an Actor that is None (it does not exists)

Play a non existing Idle

Load in game a mesh that is broken (you get the CDT when the 3D of the mesh is tried to be loaded)

Have a corrupt DDS file, you get the CDT when the mesh that is using the DDS is loaded

 

But for these errors, it is not easy to find the problematic mod.

 

 

 

if you are using MO, then you can do a small trick to find the bad mod.

 

Copy your last save game, and clean it.

Disable a single mod in MO, and try to run the game.

If you still have the CDT, then re-enable the mod and try the next one.

If you do not have a CDT, probably you found the problem.

After hours of endless try and clueless testing mod by mod as u told me to I finally fixed it...

 

Just had to shift+delete in the whole game+mods and nevermore play this fucking glitched bethesda game...

 

Anyways CPU, thanks for ur help but I got tired of trying to sort it out...

Problems with a heavy modded game are common.

But I am sure the game is not that bad (I like it, and the "glitches" are not too bad compared with other games.)

 

Maybe next time, when you will re-install it, just select the bare minimum number of mods, just to stay safe.
