Snow Bear Oddity

Just curious, I was just wondering if anyone has come across this before.

 

Started a new game, pc is at level 5 and just off to get the horn of Jurgen Windcaller.. I was going from Ivarstead (dodging bears) but when I got to the start of the pass that leads up to Haemar's Shame that then goes on to Helgen (a little further on past the Alchemist's Shack) I ran straight into a Snow Bear.

 

I guess it was in keeping as the snow had just started but it seemed a bit odd to have one at such a low level and down south, and for such a low level character

I'm not sure about the snowbear, but I'm certain there are strong creatures placed around specific places despite your level. For example there is the sabercat in the abandoned mill near Kynesgrove.

im surprised you've killed that frost troll on lvl 5.

I didn't, I sneaked round it, it's pretty easy to do

 

 

After passing Karita, carry on up the steps but instead of going through the ravine where the troll is, go left around the mountain and you come out where the ravine path ends. Keep in sneak mode as sometime the troll can be around there

LOL, I know that sabrecat well.

 

This was different though as there isn't a snow bear there as a rule. It is close to a random encounter point though, so I'm wondering if something in the levelled lists just glitched.
