Zhao Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 Hi, I want to use NPC Editor to change the outfits of some NPCs. (I know that there are ways to do this ingame, but that is not what I am looking for) The problem is that you cannot choose each piece of equipment individually and apply it to a NPC. Instead the Editor seems to use different sets of complete outfits. Obviously there are no such sets for items that come from mods. Is there a way to create new sets with mod content? Or how am I supposed to do this?
Etheri Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 If you just select none for outfit and then drag drop clothes in the inventory the NPC will use those Like this:
Zhao Posted December 25, 2015 Author Posted December 25, 2015 Thank you, but it somehow didn't work. The NPC had the item in his invetory but wore just nothing. And how do I find out the names of the items that come from mods? The search function only works when the item's name begins with the keyword I searched for, which doesn't seem to be the case with most items. And searching by hand is nearly impossible in a drop down menu that contains every item in the game. Btw, is 0.75.1 an expired version? My interface looks totally different from your screen.
Etheri Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 My creation kit says 1.9.36.0 If you select the All category you should be able to search for it, but if it's a clothing item it will be under cloths. One thing you can do is load up the mod and check for the highest ID number which is usually that mods ID and find the items that way. Hmm i didn't actually go in to game so I could be wrong, it's pretty easy to just make an outfit if you find the items you are looking for, just copy an existing outfit Change the name and the items
Zhao Posted December 25, 2015 Author Posted December 25, 2015 Okay, the creation kit is something different then NPC editor. (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/4554/?) Guess I'll use creation kit then.

Oh sorry I thought you just meant "NPC editor" as in where you edit actors in CK xD Hope you solved it
Zhao Posted December 25, 2015 Author Posted December 25, 2015 Alright, I tried doing it with the creation kit. Applying a new outfits to NPCs worked, but only with vanilla items. Items from mods are somehow not saved. When I open up the game or restart the creation kit I will see that only the vanilla parts of my newly created outfit are retained. Items from mods are just gone as if I had never added them. I tried this with different mods, same result. The second problem is that my new plugin is messing with the appearence of NPCs which I use replacers for. For example I use BijinWives for Ysolda and other NPCs. When I change the outfit of Ysolda, she will have her vanilla face ingame (and the neck seam issue). Loading BijinWives while creating the plugin does not help. I'm using the creation kit via mod organizer btw.
