"You seem to be running mods removing important tags from children characters"

I got that error message when trying to use deviously cursed loot, and then it disabled it automatically and it doesnt tell me what mod may be causing this. Anyone know a fix?

that means you have a children mod(s) that overwrote/removed "no sex with children" flag from original mod. Remove allowing sex with children mods and you'd be fine.

There is a fix in the support thread, I cant remember what page it is on....I will see if I can find it again for ya.

 

 

I see the 5.1 fix is now with the downloads.  I don't know if it will work for you because I don't know all the mods you are working with but It worked for me.  I would download and extract the file to your desktop, It is only one scrip file,  d_cur library.pex , or something like that, and put it in your Skyrim/Data/scrips folder.  Don't put it in skyscrips if you have that.  You will know when you are in the right place when you see other d_cur..... files.   I hope this works for ya, its a fun mod to play around with. I am the last person that should be giving out advice on modding cause I know next to nothing about how everything works, but I had this problem and this was a easy fix for me.

As you can see, there is.. but you didn't know of as the mod author claimed: Non-Essential Children - removes tags from children characters the game needs to distinguish them from adult characters. Cursed Loot will disable itself when it detects this mod in your load order. Solution: Uninstall mod.

There are a few mods that don't do it on purpose, or at least for the purpose in which Cursed Loot assumes. For example, since RS Children wasn't working with Beeing Female 2.6, and I did a bit of pruning to my mod list, I decided to tryout Skykids. Apparently one of the addons for it, Bards and Housecarls, makes this edit, most likely to prevent the child actor from fleeing in combat. Without Cursed Loot, I never would have realized it, and went back to RS Children despite the missing addon for Beeing Female.

I had it happen when I installed sidearmf93's NPC series: NPC_54, NPC_85 and NPC_Donyaakin. The latter had the same issue.

I have this too, but after istaling alternative start mod  no more error.
