Suggestions for unp textures?

Hi guys as title says, I would really appreciate some suggestions regarding unp textures. Years ago I used to have the ones provided by the ningheim race. Is there something better to use?

Graphene Block 20 is what I'm using for my newest elf character. It's a pretty classy set and comes with one of the best athletic normal maps I've found anywhere.

Skin mods should always provide at least a set of matched diffuse (colour) textures for head,hand and body. You can't mix those without getting obvious tonal mismatches at those joins. But you can often get away with using a set of normals or sweat textures from elsewhere. For example, I've used the diffuse textures from Bijin Warmaidens in the past, but with complexion sets from other mods, or I've taken normal maps from one set and sweat maps from another to get the effect I wanted.

 

Unless you're familiar with editing dds textures in a paint program or using some variation of Calientes Texture Blender, I'd suggest you stick to one of the more comprehensive skin packs. Mods like Fair Skin, SG Texture Renewal, Mature Skin offer full coverage.

 

The one I linked is very comprehensive, in theory you wouldn't need anything else. Be wary of the additional load on your vram if using the more detailed skin sets for NPCs though, especially high def normals as they don't take kindly to being compressed beyond the resolution they're at already.

I'm a mature skin fan, but might try out "betterbecause's Barbarous Beauty" over a box of tissues and see how it fits.  Looks pretty good judging by the screensshots, though i do tend to like seeing a bit more wear and tear on skin textures.

For Ningheim you can try SRG textures (google it), it's a mix of SG and RG (Real Girls). SRG is from the same author of Ningheim race (seren4xx).

For now I had the time to try just the first 2 you suggested and I have to say they are really really good, still unsure on what to use. In any case what resolution do you suggest taking them? Will 4k texture cause performance issues when mixed with enb and other hq textures?

I'd rather like to call it a 'more refined RG', as I personally view it as a successor to the base RG on the Nexus. The name also stands for "Seren's Real Girls" to reflect that, albeit an unlucky choice of letter combination considering the SG/RG names being out there. Just like to point that out lol.
