EinarrTheRed Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 I've got an odd sort of bug happening in one of my save games. There is a curved sword appearing in Heljarchen hall, except it doesn't seem to actually be there. It only appears if I look at the fireplace from certain angles but if I try to move my cursor over it, it vanishes. If I open console while its visible I can't select it. I have no idea what is causing it or how to get rid of it. Attached a screen shot below. Anyone have any ideas what this is or what is causing it and more importantly how to get rid of it?
DesertElf Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 I don't know if this fixes it for you, but do you use Slave tats? I say this because i had a similar issue happening in my Hearthfire built house Lakeview Manor. Items would randomly vanish at angles and reappear. If i removed the marks off my character, the vanishing stopped. An odd conflict I cant seem to find a work-around for. I know Heljarchen hall is not hearthfire, but it could be a similar issue I've not run into yet in the base game.
EinarrTheRed Posted December 17, 2015 Author Posted December 17, 2015 Actually, Heljarchen is one of the Hearthfire homes and yes I do use Slave Tats, though not actively I do have it installed. So I tried disabling Slave Tats and the strange sword seems to have disappeared completely. So I guess it's something weird about Slave Tats and since I don't know what is causing it or why that's another mod I'll be dumping. Thanks for the tip.

EinarrTheRed Posted December 17, 2015 Author Posted December 17, 2015 Well, there seem to be two possibilities. The first is its a random glitched caused by some bad code somewhere. But, it doesn't seem random since it was always the same sword in the same spot at the same angle, etc. In other words there wasn't really anything random about it. So the second possibility that comes to mind is that its something the mod creator did as perhaps a "prank". Personally, don't really care for such pranks. Or not... I completely uninstalled Slave Tats an any tat textures and... my mysterious sword just reappeared. I swear this thing is taunting me! So back to guessing which mod is causing this.
